American Idol Thread

That is so funny. I usually DO like country music, and I HATED them. I watched the whole performance with a puzzled WTH expression. :confused3

I hated them too (I don't listen to a lot of country music, but I do like some of it). They looked like they were in pain throughout the whole performance.

I agree. I think he could definitely go the Christian Contemporary way or the really clean cut "High School Musical" genre.

I could totally see that too. DD 12 just loves him. She does like Jason too. We think he is so adorable and slightly goofy. :)

For the life of me though, I can't picture which genre David A. will sing? He reminds me of Josh Groban, but other than that, I'm...

I feel the same way. Like I said on the other thread, he's Michael Bolton for Babies :lmao: He has a mature sound, but it's almost too mature especially for his age :confused3 The majority of people who love him are pre-teen girls who love Zac Efron and his style of music just wouldn't capture their attention in the real world. Most kid's don't listen to Christian/Contemporary and the whole High School Musical, clean-cut, pop genre wouldn't suit his voice. And I just don't see too many adults running out to buy a 17-year old kid's album. The AI producers have had that problem before, though, and that's why so many past winners have been dropped ;)

Does anyone else think that there's an ulterior motive to the iTunes sales? Sure it allows fans to get the music, and it makes American Idol a whole lot of money, but it's also to see who sells. There's a big different between buying an American Idol-featured single and an entire album, but it still shows who has the potential to bring in the money. I really don't think our votes count and I'm sure the producers know just what they're doing. Both David's seem to be the most popular when it comes to the iTunes sales so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

The producers are smart to gauge this BEFORE they choose, yes THEY, who wins. This morning the news reported that both Davids AND Michael were the ones they knew would sell. On the other hand they predicted that Ramiele or KLC didn't have the potential....duh???

:lmao: I agree! I love both David and Michael, and while I love David more I actually like Michael's voice better. He sounds so soulful and sexy singing the blues ;) :lmao: I listened to his studio version of "It's All Wrong" and he sounds AMAZING :cloud9:

Just seeing if this will post...

 Could ya DIE??? :faint:

I love them BOTH. I listen to them while working... no video, just sound. I could listen to them both all day and all night.

I also can listen to Jason sing Hallelujah till the cows come home!! :thumbsup2

I COULD just die! :cloud9: :lmao: :lmao: They're the best! And Jason's "Hallelujah" was amazing. I wish they'd release the full Top 24 singles on iTunes. I'd love that one and David's "Hello" :lovestruc I still think that "Hello" was David's best performance (and one of the best performances ever on AI) and his was his OWN arrangement (right?) so take THAT Doxology... and Chris Cornell... :snooty:

you guys are welcome for this thread, I just had a hard time keeping up with the chatter on the other one,

I believe that next week theme is Inspirtiation songs, that should be good:) It also Idol gives back so there problary won't be anyone voted off

I think that Either David C or Michael Johns will win. My worst nightmare Is David A will win, that kid is so fake I can't stand it

Kristy Lee her making jokes about her being in the bottom 3 is getting old, DO somthing to fix her your singing so you aren't

Carly, I really like her but her tatoo get on my nerves, I wish she would cover them up

I never thought about it that way! I just purchased my first two today, and they were Carly's and Michael's. I'm going to get David C.'s next.

Does anyone know if the contestants will be on Idol Gives back on Wednesday? I don't remember from last year...

I also think Jason would get farther in the competion if he would cut his hair, he a good looking guy ( problary the best looking one left)) but his hair is so distracting JMO

Last year was the night that they didn't send anyone home. They had Jordin left standing like she was to go home (and made me sooooooooooo mad that I thought she was going home), only to tell her to sit down. No one went home that week, and 2 went home the next week.

I bet they send someone home because we are expecting them NOT to send someone home.

Let it be Kristy, Let it be Kristy........Idol is giving back to the fans if they send her home :rotfl:
