I feel the same way. Like I said on the other thread, he's Michael Bolton for Babies

He has a mature sound, but it's almost too mature especially for his age

The majority of people who love him are pre-teen girls who love Zac Efron and his style of music just wouldn't capture their attention in the real world. Most kid's don't listen to Christian/Contemporary and the whole High School Musical, clean-cut, pop genre wouldn't suit his voice. And I just don't see too many adults running out to buy a 17-year old kid's album. The AI producers have had that problem before, though, and that's why so many past winners have been dropped
Does anyone else think that there's an ulterior motive to the iTunes sales? Sure it allows fans to get the music, and it makes American Idol a whole lot of money, but it's also to see who sells. There's a big different between buying an American Idol-featured single and an entire album, but it still shows who has the potential to bring in the money. I really don't think our votes count and I'm sure the producers know just what they're doing. Both David's seem to be the most popular when it comes to the iTunes sales so it'll be interesting to see what happens.
