I was watching the news on our local FOX affiliate this morning... they reported that Simon said last night that Kellie Pickler will win this year... Looks like Simon already has the winner Good for him I say

He was on the Tonite show with Jay Leno and what he actually said was that his favorites this year were Kellie, Chris and Taylor. So much for the media reporting accurate information. He was asked who he liked, not who would win. He did use that "MINX" comment again, I think he is a bit smitten with her and sees her marketability for the TV show (for a very short time), scandal is publicity and I think there isn't just a closet full of secrets but more like a whole warehouse full of stuff waiting to come out on Kellie. Let's face it, it makes good TV!!! In reality I think he knows that Chris and Taylor have more long term appeal.

His album will be out in the summer. It will be promoted in the USA FINALLY!!!! His first album (the idol one which was produced in six weeks) wasn't the greatest but he has spent a year getting this one together, working with some half decent song writers. He is also an amazing violin player, so hopefully he will incorporate some of that into his new album. He does a mean rendition of Devil Went down to Georgia.

Glad you like him! It was a really fun season when he was competing. Apparently his vote tally was so much higher than everyone else's every week that the one judge said, "It will take a thermonuclear explosion for you not to win this thing." I doubt that we will ever have an amazing season like that one again.

Make sure you listen to House of the Rising Sun and especially Nature Boy.

On one of the clips, the idol contestants are all playing instruments and doing a Gordon Lightfoot medley. You can hear what an impressive player he is. That is the Group number that is in red bold (top 6).

His mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer this week, so things are pretty sad in the Kalan fan club right now.

That kid is amazing. I just listened to a few of the songs and him singing "I Can Only Imagine", one of my favorite songs brought me to tears. I loved how he looked up to Heaven as he sang it. Wow!

It was announced last week during the show that it was Stevie Wonder.

I have heard three different things for Taylor, one being Superstition, and one other song. I just heard a recent spoiler that he uses a harmonica during his singing! Watch to see if that is true.

I have also read that Barry Manilow night may be in two-three weeks to coincide with a new Barry release of 1950's songs. Good lord, if Barry or 1950's songs are true some singers are in deep do do!

Can you imagine a countrified version of Mandy or I write the songs for Hickler (um, excuse me Pickler) and Bucky?

Simon really does know what is good and what isn't. He does suffer from an image problem. He is pretty rude, and even when trying to make sense, he doesn't really project that he knows as much as he really does. It's a shame because he's actually almost always right, and he probably could really help the singers get better, if he could just express to them better what he felt wasn't good enough.

Just read in USA Today that Simon said his favorites were Chris, Taylor and Mandissa and then Randy added in not to forget Elliott and Kellie. They (or the media) are clearly playing with us!!!!

I hope so! As is my FAVORITE Stevie Wonder song. I actually had to perform it to my theatre class in college... omg, I will NEVER forget that! I think Taylor would work that song to death!

As for Kellie winning... not as long as I have a dialing finger...
