My DH is a dentist, and he refers to Elliott as "the no laterals guy" (he apparently has no lateral incisors) and am I the only one that can't understand a word Bucky says????!!!!

I LOVED Ace, Taylor & Chris...it's definitely the guys this year! I think Chris may be at a disadvantage because the whole rocker thing was kind of last year (Bo, Constantine)...I can see Taylor doing it 'cause he's so different and Ace is just the whole package...he can SING and he's very hot!

Also, has anyone noticed that the judges, esp Paula, seem drunk by the end of the show? Definitely not coke in those cups!

I've liked Chris since his first audition and as Simon said last night, he was "superb"!

As for Ace, who wouldn't love him? Just take one look at those eyes and you'll melt - and he can sing too! I know, I know - I'm old enough to be his mother, but LORDY!!

...and Taylor - he's just so unique. He always makes me smile when he sings - even though I don't think last night's performance of Levon was his best. He still remains high in my top three guys.

Last year, I was rooting for Bo from the beginning - this year is going to be tougher since I like all three of these guys. I guess I'll just have to see who "grows" on me over the coming weeks.

As for the girls, I've loved Lisa Tucker since the first audtion she made - but Paris will be a tough one to beat.

Should definately be an entertaining season 5!!!

The two I thought sounded the best where, Elliott Yamin,Chris Daughtry. Kevin Covais I also thought was good. Ace in my opinion was okay. People are going to judge him on the look he has more than his voice. I think it is going to be a girl that wins this year.

Only thing I always notice about Paula is that she has no musical taste whatsoever. She's not a judge. She just applauds everybody who makes the final cut every year. Randy I occasionally see giving the contestants the truth. That's why I like Simon - He may be rude, but at least he's being honest.

what a great show last night! i was prepared to dislike Ace (just usually not a fan of pretty-boy rocker types), but then he decided to sing one of my favorite songs of all time.... thanks ace!!!!!!
i didn't think anyone last night was awful at all, except maybe bobby, though he was mostly just plain weird. copa, copabanana!
JMO, but here's who i'd like to see out tonight: Gideon, Becky, Ayla, and I guess David (just didn't do it for me as much as the others). I have to want Bobby to stay just cos he's so entertaining!

oh my what was it she said after Ace's performance? She babbled a bit and then went "oh and your eyes..." (cupping hands around her own eyes) "hello!" with the 'hello' said in a bizarre, high voice.

I really enjoyed Constantine last year but Ace is so much better than Constantine IMO. Constantine was constantly posing and working it. Ace seems to work it without it seeming obvious. He is subtle. Constantine was very blatant about is sex appeal and Ace's is just simmering under the surface, as it should be because Ace is genuinely GORGEOUS!!! Plus Ace has a beautiful smile, something Constantine couldn't claim.

There are a lot of great guys but remember we are talking about who can sell albums, nothing more, nothing less. Ace can sell albums because he will/can attract a lot of different demographics. Chris is second. The guy Elliot is great but he just has the worse set of teeth and that stuff matters. Is Taylor really a "pop" star? I am not sure about that.

I really want a guy to win this year and they need someone to come out of this competition and become a "real" star like Kelly did, jmo

I really really liked the Bon Jovi rendition....great performance and loved Taylor as usual....interesting to see who goes home tonight! Barry Manilow??! Come on, I like the Copa, but really not a wise song choice....

I do have to agree with this. I think the word he used last night that got me was "learnt". The boy is definitely backwoods country. In his profile, his say that if he cuoldn't sing, he'd like his other talent to be "racing". I can so see him singing the National Anthem at Talladega.

I'll translate for you. My mom's family is from the eastern part of the state and I really have to focus at first to understand what they are saying.

Bucky's family was on a local channel last night. He was named after his grandfather Buck. He has a twin brother named Rocky. They look identical. His father owns a body shop and both boys work there. He said that Simon had better leave his boy alone 'cause he didn't want to have to come out there! It cracked me up.

Learnt is in the dictionary. I agree that is does sound country. My husband calls him a good 'ole boy.

Being a HUGE Bon Jovi fan, I will say, he didn't wreck the song. He did a very good job with it.

Only part that bothered me was Randy and Simon referring to the band as "Jon Bon Jovi". Petty, but it always irks me.

It was an evening of highs and lows and so-whats. In the end we voted for Chris (he is just so good...Dead or Alive! What an awesome song choice! You could see Cowell just drooling over the prospect of getting that voice a recording contract.), and we voted for Kevin, because he's so adorable (DH can't help himself. He thinks the voice is just too funny. I don't know why nobody has addressed his lisp directly though.) We also voted for Sway (whom I don't LOVE but his song had unbelieveably great moments, and it also had plain awful moments).

We also voted for Taylor. He's too unique to not have in the final 12.

I still think in the end a guy is going to win. The more I hear, the more I think it's Chris's year.

Chris was my favorite all along and then he goes and busts out Bon Jovi?!?!?! I love him so much more! What a great job! He's definately my favorite.

Elliott the best boy ever?????? Come on!!! Clay, Bo, dare I even say Ruben, all trumped this guy (and yes, his teeth bother me to no end). He wasn't bad, but I wasn't falling out of my seat.

I must admit, Taylor did grow on my last night. We'll have to see how it continues.

I think Becca has no singing talent at all. Being a pretty face only gets you so far, and I think her days are numbered just for that reason.

Simon pretty much admitted the only reason she was still around is because she's nice to look at..... Why bump out the great talent for a pretty face is what I want to know.

There are 4 from NC.

Chris Daughtry lives 10 minutes away from me and I had never heard of his band before AI.

My DS11 just got braces yesterday to the tune of $6000. I can see where some families just can't afford it.
