On a side note....I know I'm biased because I love Johnny Cash, but the rendition Chris did was AWFUL. I was excited when they said he was doing Walk the Line because I thought we'd hear something different from him, but nope, sounds the same as last week, the week before, the week before that, ect...every song he sings sounds exactly the same to me.

I 100% agree...switch it up some Chris please....

I honestly hope Chris doesn't win...that way he CAN go out and be himself and not fall into the AI machine.

Doesn't he still have a contract cause he made it in the top?

I do. I think that Bucky sounded off tonight but Kevin was like painful to me. But to each their own.

I also don't really understand why Chris said that Walk the Line was very controversial. If he really wanted to do a controversial Johnny Cash song (for the time period) why not do Folsom Prison Blues and it would have been different, or he could have made it different instead of just doing a Live version of a Johnny Cash song.

He had been my favorite until tonight.

Waqsn't it her dress we didn't like last week? I wonder who is helping her? Is it the same person helping everyone else?

Yep..this week her dress was way to "jiggly" as it was mentioned earlier. She had to have it taped to stay in place, defiantely a bit too bouncy. One week they make her little Mary Sunshine..the next she is the loosey goosey girl.

How long are the phone lines open again?? Is it two hours after the show goes off?

Also, AI doesn't end on the West Coast until it is 1 o'clock here on the East Coast. Do they shut off the East Coast phone lines and if you are texting, how would they know where you are calling from? Your area code doesn't guarantee you are viewing from that state.

Just wondering if anyone knows the answers to these "hard" questions..

Tonight was different. In the last weeks I was able to vote while the show was on...probably my location and then tonight straight up 11:00 the lines were off. I was still trying to get in some votes for bucky since i had to DVR it and knew he needed some help, next week will be better.

OK, so the story seems to be that Paula was being watched due to "constant erratic behavior" The shows higher ups have been looking into replacement for her and so far they have Brittany or Jessica.

Trying to imagine how that would go with either one of them. i'm more curious what or why is paula acting like this? Is it drugs

Anyone else hear about this yet?

I vote Britney...I have also heard Whitney Houston....I think she will tell the contestants what she thinks....

Do you think Simon will prefer Jessica or Britney?

I have got to get listening to some other music than I do...I had never heard of the other group (Live) before this thread. Here I was thinking Chris changed this song around and did an awesome job doing it. I still think he did an awesome job with it, but it is disappointing to know it wasn't "his".

As for Chris and a contract. I am thinking he wouldn't be tied in as long as the winner and might have a bit more leeway in his CD. Anyone have a clue as to how long the winner has to stay under contract..and what about 2nd place....do they even get a recording contract automatically or just the tour contract?

It might have already been posted, but did you know that dialidol.com was back in service? I checked it and was surprised to see predictions posted.

I had just checked and wasn't and then checked and ws. And as soon as my lines for voting were cut off they had their predictions up. They only have 2 highlighted...are they only going to call out hte bottom 2 this week? Or is that because with the margin of error those could be the one going home?

I heard that he really wants to host bigger things like the Oscars, so I guess the new image is supposed to help that cause.
