Does American Airlines allow you to check your carseats and strollers for free or do they charge you as if they were checked baggage? Ive only flown southwest with them and they usually check them for free.

**I found my answer and just wanted to post in case it helps out anyone else. This is from AA website:

Q. If I am traveling with my child on my lap (so I only have one ticket), and I check one bag and my child’s car seat, do I have to pay a second bag fee for the car seat?
A. No. When traveling with a child, checked car seats and strollers will continue to be free. Other items checked as baggage will be considered as part of your checked baggage allotment and fees would apply.

Thanks so much for this info. We're traveling back to WDW in October with our son and his family on AA and wondered about the stroller as checked baggage. They were debating on taking their own stroller only if they wouldn't be charged for it. Again thanks for this.
