Amazing Race All Star starts 2/23/14 Offical Thread no spoilers

I know the Afghanimals aren't a very popular team but they totally crack me up. Leo's commentary while making his shirt was hilarious! Really hope they make the finals.

Well I love them! I want them and the cowboys to make the finals!

I would have liked the episode better if it wasn't so apparent that Margie and Luke were the ones who were going to be eliminated. I felt it was kind of a bummer that there wasn't enough room on the plane for 2 of the teams. Knowing that there was a 10 hour wait until the next flight, I totally would've chanced the 35 minute layover through Singapore.

I don't know if anyone here has the answer to this (and yeah, maybe I overthink this!): in the SkyBar, there was a graphic for time elapsed 3:12 when Brenchal finished pouring the drinks. I didn't know then if it was from Margie/Luke finish, from the time Brenchal started the task, or 3;12 since the cowboys had finished the task. At the time, from the looks of the nightclub, I thought Brenchal was starting 3+ hours behind Margie/Luke, but they were only just over 1 hour behind. Do they do this purposely, so the last team at least has a chance to make the flights? As much as I hate when they all make the same flight, a team being 10 hours behind is no fun to watch either.

I also wonder if maybe because Margie/Luke were in the airport, they couldn't strong arm the booking agent to book the 30 minute layover as Rachal, at least, appeared to.

I am not unhappy with who went home, just a bit with how it occurred. I was REALLY happy to not have to listen to the Twinnies throughout Sri Lanka, that old have been added torture!

I think Margie and Luke opted to not chance the 35 minute layover, I don't think it was the agent that wouldn't let them.

I don't think it was a matter of strong arming, I think they had to make a choice risk waiting in the stand by line or take the 30 minute layover flight. I think the layover flight left before the other flight so it was a huge gamble either way.

Did Margie and Luke not realize that Rachel and Brendan were still in the race? Because with R and B having the extra speed bump, if Margie and Luke had stuck with them they would have had a decent chance of beating R and B.
So even if they both went for the flight with the connection, isn't it likely that both teams would have made it or both teams would have missed the connection? Then they basically would have been racing each other not to finish last?

(I may have missed that part when they were buying tickets, etc. so maybe it was too late to change?)

Maybe they thought they were on the first flight?

I just read the elimination blog and they did say the agent at the airport wouldn't sell them the tickets because the connection time was too short.
