Amazing Race All Star starts 2/23/14 Offical Thread no spoilers

Wow. They were so far behind, they didn't have to do the tasks. For us watching and wondering why they didn't employ the strategy of sticking with the team with the extra task, assuming they knew that team was still in the race, at that point, there was really no way to know what they chose to do unless they ran into them and asked. It's sort of a boring show when you know that one team is so far behind from the beginning, they're out. They did try to play it up a bit but you knew as the rest of the teams were progressing through the leg and we didn't see them performing any of the tasks that it was over. I think if I knew I was that far behind and we were in a city like Paris or something I'd just be like Hey, let's go to Disneyland Paris and make ole what is his face come find us to tell us we lost. :)

Some of the teams didn't seem to know that Brenchel or whatever they call themselves were still in the race until they saw them at the airport.

Yeah. That's why I said assuming they knew they were still in the race, there's still no way to know which plane they may have been on or what option was chosen unless they met em and they told em. I'm not a big fan of legs where transportation issues decide things, especially when any doubt is taken out.

Thanks for the Linc. It was fun reading it.

did anyone watch?

I loved the end when the cowboys and the afghanimals were racing to the finish, I thought it was so funny when Leo and Jamal ran across the tracks instead of up and over. I also wasn't disappointed when Dave and Connor didn't win. ;)

I am enjoying this season much more than I thought I would when the contestants were announced.

I was surprised it was as close as it was when the afganimals ran straight across the tracks and the cowboys up and over. It seemed the afganimals had age on their side. It was, however, the best part of the whole leg. I don't know why I on't like Dve and Conner, but I just don't, so them being 5th was also a highlight, ESP. Since there were so few highlights.

What was the point of the gas challenge? To cause chaos and be annoying? Didn't seem like much else.

All in all, it was a pretty lame leg and now we have to wait 2 weeks for the next one. Seems like that could have been planned better

I've only been watching AR for the last few seasons, so maybe this is a dumb question, but how do they afford these plane tickets when they seem to get so little money for each leg of the race? Once they mentioned they were allotted $98 for the leg, then had to fly somewhere.

They have a credit card just for flights and are restricted to flying coach, on scheduled commercial airlines only.

Yeah, that was too funny!!!!:happytv: I didn't like Leo and Jamal, in the beginning of their first season, BUT they grew on me. :)

I agree, I really like almost all the teams left!!!:)

I found it very annoying and lasted wayyyyy too longgggggg!!!! :rotfl2:

It was a very close race the whole time between the gas station and then the elephant thing. Okay, so I felt sorry for the elephants. :rolleyes2:rolleyes2

I didn't like that challenge.

I like the rest of the teams too, but the Cowboys still melt my heart.
The Harlem Globetrotters can always laugh at themselves.
The Geranimals are running a very strong race without making anyone mad.
I like Conner, but not his dad. I'm surprised they didn't a penality for telling the cab driver to give wrong directions to his brother driving the Harlem Globetrotters. I thought you are not suppose to interfere with other racers.

I thought the same thing... Poor elephants :(

I thought that was pretty crappy too.

I missed last week's episode, meant to watch it but didn't. I was very happy with who went home. I was also happy it was a non-elimination round. They are not my favorite team but, like they said, they didn't make any mistakes.

I agree. I really thought Conner and his dad should have been given a penalty. Regardless, it was a dirty move.

I kind of felt like the whole race they were leading up to a keep racing leg, so I wasn't totally surprised when it was a non-elimination leg. I was disappointed we didn't get rid of the country girls though :(

Why should that incur a penalty? It's a race, you're not supposed to be nice and make friends all the time. The penalty is designed so if they instead threw nails out their window that caused the other team's cab to get a flat tire -- THAT would get a penalty. If every time a team lied to another, there would be nothing but penalties.
