It really bugs me when people go on about how teams (or players on Survivor) don't need the money so they shoudln't win.

Why should it be based on money?

One thing for sure is all these people have something that not all of us have - the ability to take off over a month from their regular lives. It doesn't always translate to money in the bank (hence the number of unemployed non-prfoessionals on these shows) but in most cases having money before the show is why they can be on the show.

You're thinking of another team, the brothers from Dallas that owned a pizza parlor. I think they were on in season 5. They were no All-Stars, that's for sure.

Yep, I was thinking of Marshall & Lance from season 5.

U and J are awesome people. I am glad they are back in it. I am looking forward to seeing them race. However, I dont think they should win. I dont even thing Romber diserve to win. Together they all have enough money...

How do you decide when someone has enough money?

I don't remember anything about that "new" couple - the one that came from 2 previous teams. Instead, I wish they would have invited the mom and dad from Family Edition - the ultra sportive/competitive couple with the 2 younger kids.

It was a great first episode - though I wish it had been 2 hours. Love Romber's competitive drive and spirit - can't wait to see how far they're willing to push it.

I am not big Rob and Amber fans. They are great competitors but push at times. Rob sounded like he wanted some credit for not pulling a fast one on Team Kentucky at the Miami Airport by making the comment that he actually did something nice.

If the run the best race and finish 1st then they totally deserve to win...this race has nothing to do with previous wins or money amount...

Well U and J ran a good race during their season. And for anyone to deny that - well yeah! I think all the winners diserve to win and thats that.

I didn't mean it literally. What I was trying to add was they already have money from previous shows and that I would love to see someone else win to have the money.

Also, I was adding to the fact that if you win you diserve to win and that is that. Therefore, if they win again, good for them. They diserve it.

The one season I read the spoilers, it ruined the show for me.

Yeah I would hate to know....what would be the point of wtching the show then....I dont get why anyone would want to know and still watch the show....

Not Flo (season 3)... she did NOT deserve to win. She did 1 out of 10 roadblocks (she sold snails), she whined and threatened to quit the entire way, and only Zach (her ridiculously patient partner) got them across the finish line. She did nothing, yet blamed poor Zach whenever anything went wrong. I said a little prayer when All-Stars was announced that she wouldn't be on again. Thank you Jeebus!

But maybe she's the exception that proves the rule.

After I pm'd DisneyFan06 to see the spoiler, I went looking on my own. IF it is true I'm a happy person, as the team I hate, hate, HATE isn't in the final 4! I can keep watching now.

You can really tell the show loves Romber because they showed them switching tasks and doing the entire task, but they didn't show as much of anyone else. Or is it my imagination?

I don't think it's because it was Rob and Amber. They usually show the first few teams doing the task, and then skip the rest of the teams to show more footage of other things.

No Thanks....Some people with there comments have already made somethings obvious and kinda ruined it for me....for example....and I quote... the team I really hate hate hate HATE is not in the final 4....so it made them very happy....If I am correct in who they hate....that ruins it for me...

HElp! I forgot to set tivo so I totally missed this last night! I love TAR and have watched since season 1. I have to agree with the don't like Rob & Amber crowed. Call me a Polyanna, but I like to see nice people win, not by being jerks. I also have a hard time liking the teams who spend almost the whole time yelling and belittling eachother, and the whiners, so I guess that leaves me with few teams to really like!

I am purposely NOT going back through this thread in case I stumble on a thread of Mary Ellen's that will tell me who she hates, hates, hates! I am afraid it might be a team I love, love, love! That will make me MAD, MAD, MAD
