Amazing Race 11 - All Stars (begins 2/18/07)

I am purposely NOT going back through this thread in case I stumble on a thread of Mary Ellen's that will tell me who she hates, hates, hates! I am afraid it might be a team I love, love, love! That will make me MAD, MAD, MAD:mad:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I feel the same way

I really liked Uchenna & Joyce the season they won, although I was bitterly disappointed that Rob & Amber didn't win. I have to say, though, that I am not lovin U & J this year. This is the second time they are relying on a reality show to save their marriage. It might have been a noble cause the first time, but maybe they should just pull the plug.

For those who watched Drew & Kevin before ( I didn't watch TAR then), how did they ever get to be such fan favourites? They look like a pair of whiny crybabies to me. When they got the flat last night one of them says "Now what are we supposed to do????" Uhhmmm, how about change the tire, you morons, and quit whining about it!

I guess I have a lot to get off my chest tonight...

Am I the only one who thinks that if you watched TAR all these seasons, actually ran the race before, and were selected to participate a second time, that maybe, JUST MAYBE, it might be a good idea to do a little circuit and strength training, and learn how to drive a stick???

Yeah I feel the same way....but i think i remember who she said...I think I do anyway....if she is right that will ruin it for me....i guess we will see....

I was so disappointed in Kevin and Drew last night. I was so happy to see they would be back, and they just didn't seem to be the same. Drew was a whining cry baby. I replayed my Tivo when he fell, 3 times, and it totally looks like that fall was staged. Even my kids agree. His knee never hit the ground, if you slow-mo it, you will see, then he has a big ole scrape on his knee.

I hope they start enjoying the race a little more, then maybe they will make me laugh again.

I was definitely rooting for Rob and Amber last night! WOOHOO!

:rotfl2: I totally agree. We just had this same discussion over on the Survivor thread last week. If you have only ever watched one episode, you would think learning to swim and start a fire might be a valuable tool while you are on the island.

Same for AR. Learn to drive a stickshift or change a tire. How about reading a map? Or maybe brush up on geography a little bit.

Kevin and Drew were not the same last night. Their hearts don't seem to be in it this time, I don't know. Maybe it is too early to tell.

What made them so great in the 1st season, was their constant bickering, and calling each other names. It seems like all Drew did was cry about something, and complain that they can't keep up. I hope the "real" Kevin and Drew show up soon.

I guess I'm the only one who likes Kentucky? I was very impressed with their mindset last season - so open and willing to give it a go. They are the "real" people to me. Most reality stars look much more like the beauty queens than Kentucky. I thought the shirt was hilarious and loved how cute they were around Romber and Charla.

Of couse, I doubt they win. Although you have to admit I never expected them to hang in so long last time. Alliances are part of the game too, remember?

I wasn't into last night's episode as much as usual. I wish it had been 2 hours instead. Didn't they use to do that? Took me a while to remember people, so highlight clips would have been nice. It wasn't until Ian put on that awful hat that I remembered how much I hated him before. And I had Team Guido mixed up with Team ChaChaCha (who I totally adore).

Wish they would have broght back two members of the "religious" family - those people caused major dropped-jaw disease around my house.

I went into "Now Playing" and changed the recording options while it was recording, and still had the first part of the show. Try that next time.

Did you check your "Recently Deleted" folder in "Now Playing?" The part that got deleted might be there.

We don't have the option for "recently deleted", but thank you so much for the help. I did get a link from one of the other posters for the episode and was able to watch it from my computer.

They seem to have picked up a few things. Telling the BQ's that the flight was the quicker of the two was something they didn't do last season.

I think the line of the night had to go to Team Cha Cha. Now I'm paraphasing but one said "Peru is very beautiful!" and the other said "Yes, Peru is very beautiful, but we're in Ecuador!"

Wasn't that Kevin and Drew?:confused3

That's why so many of us like them so much. They were always saying funny things to each other.

That was Kevin and Drew. It was only a tiny sliver of how they can entertain us!:rotfl2:

Yes, I agree, I was hysterical. :happytv: They are so dry but enjoyable.

Go Romber:yay:

Yeah, but they didn't pick up enough to realize how dumb it was to tell another team that AA was the faster flight a whopping three feet from the BQs - like they wouldn't notice a mass exodus to the AA ticket counter!
I was so hoping JVJ would beat Team Uncle Fester to the mat. They kind of reminded me of Kris and Jon. Sorry I didn't get to see more of them. So glad my favorite show is back!!!

Right, they should have waited until K&D had their tickets printed.:sad2:

Yep can't stand them. Mary drives me nuts the way she is constantly yelling at her husband. Not even getting those awful teeth fixed could help her personality:rolleyes:

That's what initially turned me off on them as well. They seem to be really nasty people, especially to each other.

Glad to see the team that was eliminated --- eliminated. Didn't really know who they were.

Glad to see Rob and Amber -- AGAIN -- won first place. They're the team to beat!!!!

It was a good show and we enjoyed it. Really wished CBS brought back the hippies.

Yeah, but they are no way near as nasty as Victoria and Jonathon were from season 6. They were so hateful and mean to each other it was really difficult to watch.
