Amazing Race 11 - All Stars (begins 2/18/07)

Another one disappointed with the finals. I was really hoping that C & M would pull it out. But they are at such a disadvantage when it comes to running on flat ground let alone over rocks. Very sad that it had to come down to crap like that.

Also agree they should have had to drive themselves to the final pit stop.

Crap like that :confused3 I don't get that at all. This is a race and the tasks should be physically demanding. It would like giving the less educated people a pass on the more mentally challenging parts. Physical and mental challenges help to balance it all out.

Also didn't care for the being able to grab a cab to the end. While I do think they should be able to ask directions the following the cab crap this season got very old. AR needs some rule changes to make it interesting like old season.

I agree Minnie , following the cabs should be forbidden. It is a race, they should be able to read a map.

And it didn't come down to a foot race it was the last task that got them behind.

I was just watching interviews with the final three on CBS.com's Finish Line. Mirna said that there was a roadblock that wasn't shown that involved jumping off a cliff. It's a shame they didn't include this and make it a two hour show.

Why would they cut something that important out of the finale? It might have livened it up a little!

Was it season 1 when they had to run up that steep hill to reach the final mat? That was an exciting finish. I wish they were all more like that.

I was watching Reality Remix on The Fox Reality channel last night.
They showed footage of the TAR after party Sunday night.
Eric and Danielle are no longer together. He introduced the camera to his "new" girlfried. (BTW she looked like a total bimbo.)

Charla and Mirna said they were ready to start their next new amazing adventure-trying to have babies.

Candice said she got married 8 months ago and Dustin said she just got engaged and showed off a HUGE rock on her finger.

The only other team they showed as Terri and Ian, who said they would love to do the show again.

I was hoping they would show D&O, R & A or U&J, but they didnt.

Watching the finale on tv, it seemed to me that most of the eliminated teams waiting by the mat were routing for Charla and Mirna. They must come across better in person than on tv. I must admit it was pretty impressive for Charla to finish in 3rd place. I would have rather seen them win than E&D. I just have a real problem with them not being a true All Star team, being that they werent teammates before. I havent felt this let down in a winner since Kendra and Freddy won. YUCK!

Oh well, bring on next season!

I had no idea that they landed at the Oakland airport for their final flight, with San Franacisco as the final pit stop. It's so funny to see familiar areas on a show like this.

Can anyone who knows the area explain why they chose Oakland over San Francisco as the destination? They said the mint was in downtown SF. Is downtown closer to Oakland?

I'm pretty sure the clue said specifically they had to fly into oakland!

I don't think Eric and Danielle were ever really together in the first place, I think it was a total "showmance".

I am so disapointed in the outcome of this race...

I hated that there was no "Last Challenge" before running to the mat. (Like the Hippies with the flags)

I hated that they got to take a cab to the end...Wish they would have drove themselves.

I wanted the Beauty Queens or Rob and Amber to win from the start but I would have been very happy if Charla and Mirna won over the SHOWMANCE couple...

Also, if this was really ALL-STARS, why was this season so physically easy. I am sure it was not really easy but I expected them to push it up a notch.

None of the challenges took hours and hours, none of the challenges were like the locks where you had to take one key and try thousands of locks in a previous year.

I really wanted harder, faster, more.

Maybe my expectations were too high for this season.

What do you guys think?

They were on Regis and Kelly today. They were together but really only for a short amount of time. They said they started dating after the AR season they met on but also he lived in Fl and she lived in NY. They only dated a few months until the AR All stars. They did seem like they were still friends.

I'm with you. It is all-stars! They all have done this before.

Bring back the Fast Foward where you have to shave your head-not climb stairs and count them.

I loved the road block a few seasons back where they had to put together a statue that had 2 extra pieces. The "smart" couple was having a total meltdown and couldn't figure it out.

I imagine they chose the Oakland Airport since the SF Airport is much busier than Oakland & OAK has tons of flights from Hawaii. Plus, it's more dramatic to show them crossing the Bay Bridge than the drive from the SF Airport (which isn't actually in San Francisco - it's south.)

I thougt E & D really came across as not liking each other on Regis and Kelly. I think they tried to date, it didn't work but they tried to play it up to get back on TAR and it worked. Eric even said it was running a race with your ex-girlfriend and who wouldn't argue. Danielle said that if Eric wanted to spend money on something, he would but he wouldn't let her spend it - like on the coffee she wanted. Seeing them today made me more disappointed that they were chosen to be on the race in the first place. As much as I didn't like Eric and Jeremy, they at least finished second and would have been a legit team. Danielle, David and Mary did not finish high enought on previous races to be considered all stars. If only Uchenna and Joyce hadn't gotten lost on the episode where E & D just beat them to the mat but U & J finished the task first!! Oh well....

I couldnt agree more! Its turned into The Amazing Race Lite...

I think that was season 2. There was a long run to the finish line. Tara and Wil had a decent lead, but the two burly guys from Boston caught them. That was also in San Francisco, I think.

As much as Wil made me crazy, I kind of wish they would have brought those two back. They were good racers, and entertaining, in a villainous sort of way. And Flo made me crazy too, but if her and Zach were on (instead of Dave and Mary again) it would have been a better show.

Good luck my friend! He said with a bad spanish accent.

I was talking to my neighbor about this last night. Like he said, they used all the wrong accents in all the wrong places. So, they'd only have used the Spanish accent when they were in Zimbabwe. They'd have used an Asian accent in Spain. :rotfl:

I couldn't disagree more. Flo was most definitely the least deserving winner ever. Possibly the least deserving player. She was horrible and not entertaining. I would have preferred Jonathan and Victoria over her.

Absolutely! The only redeeming thing about her win was that Zach more than deserved it. He was a great guy who had to put up with a shrieking albatross around his neck the entire race. It's a shame Zach had to share the prize with her.
