Amazing Race 11 - All Stars (begins 2/18/07)

Is it just me, or was Jeremy acting *really* weird when they showed him talking on the phone with Eric? Not what he said (which was bizarre!), but his actions??

He was looking down at the floor the whole time and never once looked at the camera. And he physically looked weird - his face was all puffy and pink.

I thought the same thing. He appeared sick or wasted. I did not recognize him. I wonder why he didn't race with Eric for All-Stars?

Another one disappointed with the finals. I was really hoping that C & M would pull it out. But they are at such a disadvantage when it comes to running on flat ground let alone over rocks. Very sad that it had to come down to crap like that.

It's a race, there's always running invovled. It's not unfair or crap it's just how a race is. Honestly I think that this one was of the least demanding races, physically. All the road blocks/detours never seemed too hard physically like in previous races, so I think C&M got off easy on most of the things this race and would most likely have been out sooner if there was more physically demanding tasks.

Does anyone know what was up with the times when they left Guam? It was still daylight when they checked in at the Fort and then they left at 11:23am.

I don't think Phil said the bit about them taking a mandatory 12 hour rest before the started again.

Danielle was also on the show before too, that is how she and Eric met. Why didn't she get to call her former teammate? Probably because the phone call was boring and it got edited out.

I thought the ending was really chauvanistic of Phil, the producers, etc. Phil talked to Eric as if he was the winner who happened to be accompanied by Danielle. So what if his team finished second last time and first this time? Its probably more a factor of most the challenges being physical and therefore favoring strong men - the reason for the preponderance of male-male teams who have won. Although whiney, Danielle was half of the team, did her fair share of road blocks, and, when it comes down to it, was the reason they won since she was the only one who correctly guessed the code. Phil asked Eric about working with Danielle as if she was a weight around his neck, while he should have been asking Danielle how she put up with such an immature pig through the entire race.

And the phone call was beyond weird. "We're rich!"? Was that part of some agreement and the reason why he didn't race?

I'm not too upset that E & D won. They really overcame a lot with being yielded twice. So, I have no problem with them winning. It was anti-climatic for me since I checked the spoiler thread. I should have never done that, but I couldn't help myself

I hope they're doing another season. Usually they show previews for the upcoming season and they didn't do that last night.

Regarding Danielle & Eric:

The Amazing Race put those two together because they were hoping for, and got, just what we saw, over the top antics, from a chauvanist and a pretty face that wants to be on camera. Although I'm sure they were expecting more chemistry (if you know what I mean), but Danielle was just trying to make it thru the race. Thank goodness.

The same reason AR producers thought it would be hilarious to call Jeremy and get a guaranteed over the top reaction. But it wasn't hilarious, it wasn't even funny. It was just kinda pathetic. I personally feel it didn't really happen. Jeremy's half was probably taped later. And he did say some seriously idiotic (might not be a word) things. It just made me glad we didn't have to watch the two of them together for another season!!!

Disclaimer: These are only my opinions. I could be wrong, but human nature and the cash cow of reality television, i.e. pretty, obnoxious people, tell me I'm not.

Well my kids were watching and now my 9 year old and 13 year old are saying "I'm rich beotch!"
I was mad they didn't show any previews of when the next one would be. More more more I want more!

This morning on the Early Show, Phil said they'd be back in the fall with another season of AR. He also talked about something he'll be doing over the summer, but I'm not sure what he said, other than that he'll be traveling around in a small plane (or something like that? I couldn't hear over the apple I was eating ).

I thought yesterdays finale kind of stunk. It wasn't exciting. It wasn't suspensefull. The end with the phone call was just WEIRD!

The reasons they weren't any previews is because they haven't started filming the next race. I read somewhere else that its rumored that filming will start in July.

No they did a good job, they were just annoying. With all their fake accents, Mirna screaming at Charla, whinning about the other teams, and their just down-right rudeness, their was not much to like about them.

I f I never hear another person call a total stranger "my friend" again it will be too soon.

I was rooting for the BQ's but I was also going to be happy if anybody but Mirna won. Not a great ending, but not a terrible one either.
