Anybody notice the previews from next week? Looks like the 3 other teams are going to work together to get the BQ's yielded. Man, it's gonna be a long week

Really? I thought they were suggesting something else when they said something like "surprising alliance to yield another team" (I deleted the episode already). It's no surprise at all that the other teams would want to yield the BQs. It would be surprising if C&M or E&D worked with the BQ's. Of course, it's just a teaser and the alliance may not really be a surprise at all.

As for the Fast Forward, once again I'm pretty shocked that the FF challenge was so lame. They used to be pretty hard, or a least something that was quite a sacrafice. As for D&O usign it again, I suspect they don't count them having to do it with the other team. IMO that's fair.

Yes, I agree. I remember once Uchenna and Joyce had to shave their heads for the Fast Foward. That's a pretty big deal for a woman!!

The ferry was going back to Kowloon. That is where they were originally supposed to catch the Star Ferry. They were on the right ferry, they just did a round trip.

I've been to Hong Kong and that is very easy to do. I knew when Mirna told the taxi drive "Star Ferry Hong Kong" that thiswas going to happen. They just paid for two trips and spent more time on the ferry (and in the cab)

I agree. If it doesn't forbid it in the rules of the game, then they can use whatever means is necessary to get them where they are going. I really don't know why they choose to spend the money though. I don't think I have seen one of these teams use a map yet. I guess it is always easier or less of a chance of getting lost, if you pay for an escort.

I think they should do a leg where there is no money given to them. The teams would then have to rely on what they have saved to get around, or else really have to use their wits.

They used to do that as part of the penalty for coming in last on a non-elimination leg. The team would have their belongings taken away and start the leg with no money.

I'm glad they stopped doing that. IMO it was very disturbing to watch these otherwise well to do Americans begging for money in foreign countries just because they were on a game show. In some cases they were in some pretty poor areas and begging the locals for money.

How did you feel when Mirna was ripping her a new one in their SUV a couple week back because Charla wasn't doing anything?

How did I feel? I felt bad for Charla. I still would be happy if that team won,more for Charla than for Mirna.

I think the gnomes were part of the usual extra Travelocity prize because when they showed the park, there were 4 boats there (in case no one chose the fast forward) and when Phil took the gnome from Danny and Oswald he looked at the bottom (and there was something written on the bottom of the Beauty Queen's as well). My guess is that the one left behind by everyone was the winner, no one chose it.

How did I feel? I felt bad for Charla. I still would be happy if that team won,more for Charla than for Mirna.

Just curious because I can't imagine still pulling for those two after that incident. No way do I want to see Mirna get that 1st place prize money.

I like Charla OK, it's Mirna I can't stand. I'm amazed that they have gotten this far. They are both very pushy, but I think that has helped get them this far.

I like the BQs - using the "yield" may not have been timely for them & it looks like it'll come back to bite them! That said, I'd like these girls to win, or D & O.

Yeah, I don't mind Charla, and I admire the heck out of her for climbing the scaffolding on an 11 story building but I can't stand Mirna, so she's the deal breaker for me there.

I realize that my opinion all but penalizes Charla, but she did pick her as partner... again... even after she did the same kind of things the last time they were on the show. She also seems to be just fine with many of the awful things Mirna does and says.

I often wonder what Charla is like when her the evil Mirna is not around.

They wouldn't necessarily have to beg in the streets for money. Maybe they have to learn to read a map instead of hiring a cab or walk somewhere or hitch a ride or actually befriend people for help. All I'm saying is they rely too much on buying their way through the race, and it would be nice to have to see the teams use people skills and travel savvy.

In the case of their money being taken away after finishing last, yes they would have to beg. They didn't just not give them any, they took any they had left before finishing last.

Has anyone mentioned Eric's behaviour to Danielle last night? He was SO stubborn about not following a taxi to the rest stop! She was getting so frustruated, and so was I just watching them.

Also his comments about not "blaming" Danielle for their finish last night, what was that about? Maybe if he had listened to her about following the taxi they wouldn't have been so far behind? And then in the wrap up interview, when he said his focus for the rest of the race is to support her or keep her spirits up or whatever, and I think he is the one that needs support for his spirits...

ITA! I do pull for Charla/Mirna (really Charla) as she really does have a lot more to overcome in many of the legs. Plus they are SO funny, I think the show would be quite dull without them! Mirna can be rude, but the BQ's are condescending (though behind backs not to other's faces) and annoying, IMHO. I was a Romber fan, now a Chmirna fan as they keep things interesting.
