Amanda & Eric 03/03/10- WP/WHP/Sago Cay Centerpiece Ideas!

I didn't have an eshoot. Do most brides wear sundresses I guess? I am sure there will be lots of cute dresses at the local department store too. Have Lauren go and take pics for us! and we can help pick!! :)

I like the band you posted. I think it complements your ring well. I think somethign plain will be too different form your ring so it would clash, you know? But I am not sure how well the shape of that band will look with your ring since it is such a unique shape. Ring shopping is one of the really fun parts of wedding planning :goodvibes

The flutes I posted are gorgeous but pretty expensive (to me, anyway.)

But I'm sure similar things exist that are cheaper.

I like the idea of a very simple wedding band because your engagement ring is so pretty that something over the top could end up over-powering it. It's really all a matter of personal taste though. I'm a "less is more" kind of person and I a know lot of people aren't.

No suggestions on the wedding band, as I haven't located that bridge on my wedding map, yet.

But, I just wanted to say, I LOVE your engagement ring. Very pretty! :thumbsup2

Aww thank you!! I am probably a bit early, but just shopping for prices and stuff.

that ring does make a band tough..you could have a jewerler soulder a small band maybe..we had another band cast for mine..long story..but I had them all put together because the spinning and odd shape felt weird.

That is where I am stuck. Unless I get something custom done, nothing will fit up against my e-ring.

Oh Lauren I like that idea, lol. I really like that band too...but I kinda had the same thought about a plain band looking too different. I think even though it's probably out of our price range, we will stop by the jeweler that I have used before.

WOW...those are pretty...but I agree, a little pricey :)

I don't know if this is an option or not but I'll tell you what I did with my wedding band. Because of the type of engagement ring, the only way I can have a band sit flush against it is to get one custom made. Since that is a little too pricey at the moment, we just bought a plain wedding band to use for the ceremony. It's basically a temporary band until I can get the custom one made. And then once I do, I'm going to put this band on a necklace. We probably won't get the custom one made until close to our 5-year anniversary. I don't mind waiting.

If you can't find a ring, you could always wear your e-ring on your right and get a stand alone ring.

PS I love the blue toasting flutes!

The toasting flutes are really pretty. I just threw mine out last week. :rotfl::rotfl: I had no use for them and they were cheap from Ebay. I think I paid 9.00 for them and just fixed them up. They did the job. :thumbsup2

I think if you want to keep them it would be nice to get them engraved. :goodvibes I know Arribas Bros. in Disney have really nice ones if you want to take a look when you are down there. They may be pricy but if you plan on keeping them it might be worth it.

Love how things look so far. As far as the wedding band goes - the pave ring looks very nice. Love the blue on the toasting flutes. I know disney has Mickey and Minnie toasting flutes with a blue base. I think Vanessa used them. I really wanted to use ones with a red stem but we could not find any one we wanted. As it turns out, while the waiter was setting up our sweetheart table he dropped one of our toasting glasses and broke it. They were plain flutes that said bride and groom on them. We never got them engraved. Our wedding planner told us this before the reception and they gave us the Mickey and Minnie ones for free.

As far as the dress goes, what ever you decide I am sure will be great. Love the white dress from VS. Here is a photo of the dress that I wore for our engagement shoot with Misty. As far as a pop of color - I think this would be great.

This was a Davids Bridal bridesmaid dress that I had seen on one of my trips to Davids Bridal that I fell in love with. I did not want this to be the dress that my girls wore (they wore red) but I really liked the dress and it was perfect for our engagement shoot.

If you are looking for the ultimate bargain for your toasting flute... I was just at Pier 1 today and they had some nice, clean, simple cobalt flutes on clearance for $3 each. They could easily be jazzed up with etching monograms or something on them. I loves me a bargain! ;)

They had this shape:

But were this color:

P.S. I totally meant to post this an hour ago, but a tornado decided to threaten my campus! :rotfl:

Are photos at an angle the "in" thing for wedding/engagement photos these days? I seem to see a lot of them. I must be getting old because I feel the need to tilt my head to look at them. Lol.

I really like the dress you picked out from Victoria's Secret, but I think you should pick something other than white. It is so hard to get the exposure on white correct especially if Eric isn't wearing white as well. It can look very washed out and you won't get any detail in the dress. It is one of the many challenges with photographing weddings you don't want to have the same with your engagement pictures! Oy, if it is a bright sunny day when you do the photos it will be even harder!:scared1: Although since your wedding dress is ivory that helps a lot with that problem. I do love that style of dress though...it is so cute!

Ok I'm done with the photographer point of view. Now the wedding band. I agree you should look at curved bands...that might make it easier to fit with your e-ring.

I'm alittle bit behind in my reading but I wanted to tell you that i LOVE that wedding band you posted! Its very pretty and dainty! :cutie: I think it'll go really nice with your e-ring. You should go out with eric one day and just try on a bunch... i tried on a few when we were up at a Zales outlet and it was a good time! :rotfl2:

good...a photographer weighed in!! That was something I got upset about..the flash was too hot and washed out the detail on my dress..

I like the black and white Lauren shot you in before..that looked nice. But think about the area you will use...the beach at the poly? Animal Kingdom? WP beach? Try to get something that will mix will with the background.

I have thought about that too...I just love my e-ring so much!!

Oh that's a good idea! He loved the Arrivas Bros. when we were down last time. Maybe in September we can take a look! Thanks!!

See...that is why I didn't want to get any, I don't want it to get broken! I think it's cute that he wants something to keep as a momento. I have seen a lot I like, it's just a matter of narrowing it down.

Your pictures are gorgeous!! Thank you for posting.

Oh no!! Tornado warning??!? Everything ok?

I will have to check our Pier one! Thanks!!

Lol I think so (the angel thing, not the old thing):rotfl:

Yay!! Where have you been lady?? Thank for that...it didn't even cross my mind. I guess white dress if off the list.

I also need to get Eric out and ring shopping. I think I need to try some on before I decide...even though I love that pave one.

Thanks...my hands are kinda small so anything too big wouldn't work. I can't wait to go shopping!!

Good point! Thanks for showing me a picture.

Well I have heard back from 3 makeup/hair artists. Beaute Specials, About Face, and Onsite Beauty. I really like Onsite Beauty the best even though they are a bit more expensive.

We are also all set with Randy for our e-pics. We are taking them at the Boardwalk the morning of our planning session...that is going to be a busy day!!!

So if we are doing the Boardwalk, what color dress?? Blue maybe??

That curved band from Blue Niel would be pretty with your ring, although I like the idea of getting an inexpensive plain one for the ceremony and use it until you can get one custom made.

That dress you posted from VS is cute, the wrap style looks great on anyone. I looked and it does come in other colors, including blue. Blue is my favorite color and I think it would be nice to wear for your e-pics at the Boardwalk.

Oh duh...I didn't even think about that dress coming in other colors. Thanks!!

I think any color dress will work at the Boardwalk. Pick a color that looks good on you. That is most important. The one you posted in blue would be pretty but you may want to find a dress that you can go try on. Buying online is risky to me:)

Awww don't be a chicken...online shopping is fun!! You can always return it :) I haven't decided what I want yet...and we have two months still. That's a fun excuse to go shopping!

I just spoke with Janet from On Site Beauty and she seemed great! We are all set for my trial in September. She said that she will bring the contract to sign then and I don't need to do anything now :cool1: Now I have two months to figure out what I want to do with my hair!!
