5 day trip to Disney over Memorial Day weekend

$150 airport parking (husband is fancy & wants the close walk over parking)
$190 car rental
$1100 Stay at a DVC resort with our points, annual dues, no idea on on allocating the initial cost
$850 food at parks
$2100 park tickets
$220 groceries
$190 sneakers at fit2run so my older daughter has a good pair for our Japan trip

I commend you on considering this in your cost. dvc ownership is def. not without cost. I remember when we owned in the early 2000's and the dues alone were not cheap-i can't imagine what they run now with many of those properties aging up.

Thanks they arent really vacationers, but will be nice to have the time with my daughter plus i booked all their dining and curated it so it gets them away from the resort daily.

Here’s a breakdown of my 26 days vacation, which included a 13 days TAEB cruise and 2 weeks in Europe.

1. $4,700 cruise
   • Excursions: $370
   • internet: $300
   • Trip Ins: $150
   • Room Service Tips: $20
2. $500 Pre cruise hotel
3. $45 Transfer to PC
4. $1600 Europe hotels (included daily breakfast)
   • Eurostar train: $150
   • Euro rail: $333
5. $1500 flight back home
6. $500 Food

Total: $10,168

Only a small increase in 2024 costs, mostly due to the cost of food going up. I own DVC, purchase an annual pass and normally buy the DDP. This keeps costs at somewhat a minimum.

Saw this thread and figured I would add because I'm still somewhat shocked at how unaffordable this is even for a family that makes pretty good money!

• 4 roundtrip flights to Orlando: $50 + 125,000 Delta miles
• 9-day car rental with Avis using discount code: $389
• 5 nights Savanna View Studio at AKV Kidani (home resort): $969 - annual dues + prorated purchase cost per point
• 4 nights Studio at Beach Club: $894 - includes premium for point swap
• 4-day park tickets with park hopper plus (extends our window by a day since we're planning on F/M/W/F park days) for 2 adults and 2 kids, using AAA discount: $2985
• Lightning Lanes (est.): $732
• Food (est.): $1500 - Mix of meals in the parks and eating out + making food and bringing lunches into the parks
• Souvenirs/other (est.): $300

Total: $7,819

Wild given that we are covering our flights on points and we're DVC members so our accommodations are at least somewhat reasonable. How can anyone afford trips to WDW anymore?!

Not sure we'll do another park or just hang out at Downtown Disney and the resorts.
