Worst game you have ever played

Easy for me. Either Carmageddon 64 or Superman 64. I actually thought the cartridge was damaged with Superman, it was so awful. But Carmageddon takes the biscuit. The whole point is to earn points by mowing down people in your car. But in Carmageddon 64, the people are zombies with green blood, their screams are pathetic moans, the AI is ridiculous (think cars reversing down hills backwards and falling into the water for no reason) and the graphics are just awful.

Runners up on the Dreamcast are Spirit of Speed 1937 (largely regarded as a massive joke) and Sonic Shuffle (OK, the visuals are OK, but it's just a shadow of Mario Party - the AI CHEATS nonstop, the mini games are inexplicable and so on).

Real ones know.

The first time I ever went to Universal Hollywood they had a tent set up with Atari 2600s all playing (you guessed it), ET. It was bad. even with someone standing there telling me what I was supposed to be doing it was bad.
I had that ET game on Atari myself... I got it on clearance @Kaybee toys for like $3 when I was a kid. I have no idea how many hours I spent just getting out of a pit. I am not even sure what the point of the game was other than just doing that. I don't think the game even had a point :rotfl2:

It does, but it's really obtuse without the instructions. It's actually pretty simple - find the three phone parts and call for the ship before you run out of energy. The tricky part is that each "space" on the map has an icon associated with it to activate power at the cost of energy. Some powers, like the arrows, warp you one screen in that direction. You can also call Elliot for help and some other stuff I don't really remember. Anyway, there is one space that you use to call once you have the phone, then you have to go to the pickup point (alwasy the same as the drop-off I think - middle of the woods). The FBI guy and scientist will try to catch you, but it really only wastes your energy as you have to walk back to where you were. Honestly, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it wasn't so frustrating to get out of the pits! The mechanics and controls for that are just broken. It can be done - you can even get good at it - but it's not really worth it. Still, I know people call it the worst game ever, but it's really not as bad as certain others. I'm not saying it's good mind you - but if you understand it you can actually play it.
