If I am staying LVCL in April would they have me in their system to email with questions?

They may or they may not have you in their system. They may initiate contact, but it's not guaranteed. If you have a reservation with them already, you can call or email them and they'll look up your reservation. Sometimes if you go through a TA they can't contact you first, but if you call them they can help you.

April is soon, too, so I would recommend calling/emailing them so that they can help you with your requests, ADRs or anything else you might need.:)

I just did a room only and paid for just one night for a deposit. What I found surprising was that room only reservations can be cancelled 5 days before trip.

compared to the 45 days of package deals:confused3

That's why we always prefer room-only over a package. Plus you don't have to pre-pay it then try to get a refund if for some reason you need to cancel...

This is standard hotel practice, though. Most hotels in the US that we stay in ask for 1st night's deposit and have cancellations with no penalty around one week out. I book a room-only unless a package ends up being significantly better (only happened once and that was with the 4/3).;)

Two weeks from today we check into the Polynesian! Just added a request for the first floor this morning. I can't wait!:cool1:

BreezysMom, I hope you get that last minute trip!

We check in at the Poly on 2/24 also can't wait

Have a GREAT trip, everyone!
We're also going in April - and it can't come soon enough!
Hope to meet up with some of you...

Happy weekend, everyone :)

So we leave next Sunday...looks like it's going to be a little chilly while we're there. I'm pretty sure I saw a place to change in/out of bathing suits by the quiet pool, but was wondering if there's a place to change by the main pool? We would still swim if it's cool, but there's no way I'd walk too far in a wet bathing suit if it's too cold! I remember booking it from the quiet pool back to Hawaii last April, and it was pretty warm. Are the changing areas heated on cool days?

I had already packed our suitcase with springlike clothes, but I've read one too many reports of cold evenings/mornings so I'm trying to plan ahead and pack accordingly. If there's no place to change out of wet bathing suits, I think I'll pack us some warm robes for that mad dash back to our longhouse! Almost there!

I can't wait for our weekend dose of pics tomorrow from Breezysmom!

Oh the pressure! :scared: I'll have to pick some good sunny ones for you :thumbsup2

I hope it warms up for you!:sunny: Having gone in December, we had the weather swing from 40s to upper 80s! Layering was the key. Happy packing!

There is a change room in the volcano. We found it to be dark, wet and cold, although it was very hot when we were there, so maybe they had the air conditioning cranked? Do they have air conditioning in the volcano?! :confused3 :rotfl:

I remember seeing a place under the volcano, too. Hopefully it won't be so cold that it will be a big issue for you.

I'm waiting for those photos, too! :goodvibes No pressure, though, Breezysmom!;)

I'm looking forward to photos too BreezysMom! :goodvibes I really enjoy seeing them. :)

Here are some night time pics.....I don't want to disappoint :wizard:

So has any of you Poly lovers left the Disney bubble and headed over to the Universal? DH is insisting on the seeing Harry Potter and I am getting a headache trying to figure out how to do it? :headache:

I was thinking of heading there first and staying a night or two at one of their hotels so we can get their express pass thing and then heading to the Poly for the remainder of our stay.

Our other option is to just rent a car for a day and head over there?? I was really trying to wait a few more years before visiting Universal. I hope DH changes his mind. There is so much to do during a holiday trip and there is only so long we can visit with taking DD out of school.

Stupid Super Bowl commercial:rolleyes:

Okay... I just realized I we are booked June 4th through 12th and the gay days are June 1st through the 7th! Is this event as crazy as some are saying? I have teen kids and do not want to expose them to the Mardis gras sans the beads! Let me know if you have experience with this! I do not have a problem with people being gay! I have a problem with the ones that have to prove it in innapropriate ways!

I don't have any experience with it, but I think it's a designated day/park kind of thing-so if you can get the info on that you can stay away from those parks....

Please everyone.. Please do not get me wrong! I do not hve a problem with gay pride! I just have heard horror stories! My kids know there are gays and they know that it is a choice! I live in Philly! If they don't act like teenagers in love while in the park, I will be there to cheer them on! That type of behavior is not acceptable by anyone who is in the parks!
