My new obsession... Louis Vuitton!! :worship::worship: Geez those are outrageous tho, my DH keep telling me to get one if I want it but I dont know I wouldnt feel right spending that kinda money on 1 purse :scared1:

if he goes and gets it, that another story!

I'm a purse-aholic as well! I have lots of Coach...in fact, I won't use anything other than Coach as my every day purse :rolleyes1

I've been eyeing the Disney Dooney's for a while and I might get a 40th anniversary one in Oct.

As for Louis Vuitton, I adore mine :lovestruc It is very small and the traditional print in multicolour. I bought it in Paris in 2005 and haven't brought myself to buy another one yet lol. Its about the size of a large Coach wallet and I believe it was about $800...:scared1:

I've sworn I won't buy another one until we return to Paris...and it looks like that won't be for another 2 years.

AND to bring this back onto Poly topic hehe....only 65 days until I return to the Poly :cloud9:

I getting my cold out of the way now so I don't have to deal with snot or germs on our vacation... Germs are not allowed at the Poly.

Got all appendages crossed the kidlet doesn't catch it.

Sending pixie dust :tink: that you are well by your trip & your kidlet stays healthy, but you're asking a LOT! WDW must be one of the germiest places there is! I came home in May with bronchitis, DD#2's BF came home with a cold, DH's cold showed up about a week after we got home, then I caught DH's cold after was over my bronchitis! 50% of us got sick! Luckily I was never too sick to ride, see, or eat everything I wanted. I just drove everyone around me crazy! I sounded like I was gonna cough up a LUNG! So good luck avoiding the Disney germs and have a wonderful time!!

Hi Poly peeps! I am leaving for the Poly tomorrow for a weekend getaway. Having trouble relaxing and trying to fall asleep. Have to go to work tomorrow, YUCK!!! Funny thing, I am 49 years old and I still get soooo excitied about WDW!! I know y'all would understand! :thumbsup2

Hi! I apologize if this question has been asked/answered but I didn't see it.

I'm planning a trip for Oct 2012. It's my 1st trip since 1993 & will be the 1st trip for my husband & our sons. My husband gave me the go-ahead today to "splurge" & have us stay at the Polynesian. We're planning on Garden View. Can I ask my agent to request a certain house or floor and, if so, what do you suggest? I read through this thread & I'm sure you're the ones to ask :)

Thanks for any advice/suggestions/recommendations you're willing to share!

Lucky you!! I bet I wont be able to sleep the night before we go too.

I have always wanted to stay at the Poly and now I'm planning on doing it  I was very disappointed when I read on another thread that the rooms smell musty and it is always crowded because of people coming to see the luau and wishes. I'm still planning on going to Poly anyway. I just wondered what you Poly fans think of what they said ?

I'm right there with you at 51, I still get excited and cant wait. It makes me feel like a kid again :yay: !

How is the crowd level at the Volcano Pool? Are they wrist-banding?

Also, are they still showing the movies on the beach near Hawaii?

Enjoy your trip! :thumbsup2

Crowd levels are ok, you don't have to push and shove, but I would get there early if you want a table, after 3pm it really picks up, They wrist banded some, not all, it didn't make sense...Yes they do have movies on beach @ 9:10pm on dot--right in front of Barefoot Bar, tonight's movie "Toy Story 3" Electric water parade at 9pm and 10pm wishes from beach and they pause movie for fireworks display. :thumbsup2

LOL ME TOO!! I actually just bought a new one yesterday with my $100 off $300!! The only Dooneys I have are Disney! My mom is a Dooney fan but I am definitely a Coach girl! :thumbsup2

I rode the monorail over to Magic Kingdom before dinner tonight and bought my 40th Anniversay Dooney, I'm so excited but sad because the wallet is no where to be found. I've looked at every shop literally that sells Disney Dooney's...Online isn't the same to me, but I might have too. I also used my annual pass and received discount, BONUS.

I am a Disney Agent and I can most definitely tell you YES... you can request whatever you want. I have made many requests for guests before. :thumbsup2

I cant wait to get back to my table by the pool..with a nice frosty drink!:yay: and watching the monorail going by, and hearing the boat whistle!... Heaven!

Off the wall question here but does anyone know if the "over the door shoe organizers" will fit over the door in the poly bathrooms? Will the door shut? anyone ever used these to organize all their bathroom stuff. Someone on the tips thread said they used them and they worked great. Thinking about trying it but I know sometimes it will keep the door from shutting all the way. Just wondering if anyone has tried this at the poly. Thanks so much for input.
We will be there September 17th....cant wait! :yay:

We love the Poly. It is unquestionably our favorite resort. We have never found the beach to be overcrowded, even during Wishes. I think the rooms smell fresh and clean, I've never noticed any mustiness. The Great Ceremonial House has a very distinctive smell, but it is quite sweet, not musty.

I would like to know the answer to this question also :)

I would highly recommend requesting the Fiji longhouse on the Marina side for the best garden view :thumbsup2

I too am getting over bronchitis.. We went to WDW for a weekend in mid June, I came back with a cold, I think from the 100 degree heat then going into AC..Anyway, I let it go for about 3 weeks thinking it was a cold, finally went to dr when my chest started hurting.. Ended up with 3 rxs.. Still have a small cough too.. Then DH got a ear infection, then DD got what seemed like a flu..So hopefully we have everything out of the way..Last yr Dh got a cold on the last couple day at the Poly and by the time we got home he had to go to go to Dr and it was full blown pnemonia! :scared1:

What is it about WDW vacations that seem to bring it on??

Speaking of Disney Dooneys.. Wouldnt it be fantastic if they came up with just a few resort related Dooneys?
Like a Poly one with tikis and sandbuckets and stitch and lilo on it.

A CBR one with nemo, and little mermaid characters.

A Wilderness Lodge one with moose, and mickey, donald, goofey, totem poles and such.

CR with the monorail and mickeys on it, maybe even the CM logo..

GF with princess theme for 1900PF and wedding pavillion.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Hi Maryj!! We are going on our fourth trip to the POLY in a few weeks. We have never had an issue with a musty smell in the rooms. We have also always found the crowds to be average. We do go the last week in August which is not one of the most crowded times though!!!!

For this trip, I originally booked the YC for a change of pace (we have stayed WL, and AKL on previous trips as well). My family loves the POLY so much that they insisted that we change the ressie to the POLY!! We love it there!!!
