Does Poly have those thermostats that turn off if there isn't any movement in the room? If so, is there some sort of bypass mode you can activate to force it to stay at a certain temperature? We sleep so much better when it's nice and cold in the room.

Checking out today and have had no problem with the thermostat. Plenty cool at night. Did not shut off. It did make a loud bang sound when it cycles off though.

I heard different on this. I know one of our posters stayed at CR who was testing and then moved onto the Poly who was not testing and she was not able to use her bands when she got to the Poly. When I called CRO the other day and found out POP is doing the bands during our Oct stay I asked if they would be good at the Poly in Dec. She said no because the Poly test started yesterday and ends Oct 31st and they still don't have a live date for all the resorts to begin using them. So we will have the bands for October but will have to go back to using tickets and keys in December.

We are going the last week of October (10/27-11/3) and were originally staying at CBR but upgraded to Poly after getting money back for the free dining plan. I was surprised to see that once we upgraded we are getting MBs. I am excited to try them out. Seems to me it will be easier than digging out the room key all the time. Plus I'm getting a pink one :yay:

Oh my goodness, I absolutely loved the cruise!!!! I definitely wish we had come to the parks first and then the cruise. The cruise is so much nicer and much more relaxing. Castaway Cay was amazing!! Also, be prepared to eat a lot of food on the cruise. We thought everything was really good and service was excellent. What I liked the best was lounging in the pool or at Serenity Bay at Castaway Cay and not having to get out to get a drink. I am really missing the personalized service!! We have decided on taking a 7 night cruise next year.

Returned from our annual Poly vacation 2 weeks ago. Had a great time as always but really bummed out with the amount of green lake grass ( or whatever the heck it is) that seems to be taking over the beaches at the poly. The beach in front of Tahiti is completely overrun with this crap. It runs all the way around Sunset Point and is starting to encroach onto the main beach in front of Hawaii. It's also over on the beach in front of Aotearoa. Is no one else bothered by this stuff? I'm surprised no one here on the boards mentions it (unless I'm not paying close enough attention). It's bad enough the lagoon water now looks like green murky swamp water, now our beloved Poly beaches are turning into typical Florida swamps! :confused3

Did SOA tonight for the 1st time and really enjoyed it. Show was great, food was great. We would definitely do it again!!!

Something that we have noticed this year that we did not notice the last few years, is that they pipe in the music from Night of Joy. That will be a complaint of mine. We did not pay top dollars to hear any other music playing besides Hawaiian music. Even when we walked to SOA, that music from Night of Joy was blaring.

Glad you liked it :). We did it a few years ago and had a great time. It's not something we would do every trip, but I can see us going back again :goodvibes.

Is it truly piped into speakers or where you hearing it across the water?

Yes, a few times during our Halloween trips in the past if the wind was blowing the right way we could very clearly hear the villain show from the MK during MNSSHP, and it wasn't being piped through the speakers on the beach.

That's a great question! I'm guessing it was being piped in because you could even hear it clearly at the side door of the GCH like it was being piped in. Also, they pipe the music in at the TTC. Thank goodness that only lasted 2 nights of our trip, lol.
