Is Capt. Cooks where you fill refillable mugs? (And did I hear you can only fill up 3 times now with the RFID mugs??)

Also, we mostly likely are NOT staying club level... but that lounge looks pretty small/narrow. How on earth do several club level people hang out in there to watch fireworks, etc. without being on top of each other? I would feel like we were taking over the place with our group of 7!!!

The mugs can be filled up as many times as you want for however many days you buy it for. It's the paper cups that are limited to 3.

I remembered seeing something about 11 but didn't realize it was just the grill that closed. I remembered when we stayed at the mods and values that the food court did close so I thought when I saw 11 that all of Capt Cooks closed. Thank you for letting me know it doesn't.

leannak the lounge is a lot bigger than it looks in pictures. It fits a lot of people and you aren't on top of each other. Also lots of people watch from their balcony if they are TP or LV so most of the people who would be watching would be people staying GV. Also because the lounge is limited to club level people it is really controlled on how many people have access to it. Also a lot of people do watch from the beach so that also lessens the people in the lounge. We have been there at Christmas which is their busiest time of the year and the lounge was never an issue with too many people.

mirage0306 your pictures are divine:cloud9:. I want to be there RIGHT NOW!! It is going to be a LONG 5 days till we get there. I think the picture of the lounge is kind of an optical illusion which makes it look smaller than it is.

mirage0306 - I just want to say a quick thank you for sending the pictures too!! They made me so excited that I am choosing the right resort for my family and extended family!
:cheer2:

Thank you for sharing these. These are actually the first photos of the remodeled rooms I've seen that make me feel that I'll really enjoy them come the end of August! Up until now I wasn't quite sold on it. :)

You are definitely making the right choice. There is just something magical about staying with your family at the Poly. We have stayed at many of the Disney resorts with our sons but our most memorable and best stays have been at the Poly.

You're so welcome!! We really, really liked the remodeled rooms, FWIW. I thought they were very pleasant, and I liked the muted green colors and the fun wallpaper in the bathroom. Everything looked really fresh.

Wow i just saw some pictures of the GF villas from the polynesian beach.. its a shame it really killed such a nice view:worried:

Can anyone tell me what kind of cereal Poly CL has? Do they have froot loops and Rice Krispies? TIA!

I think I remember seeing froot loops the last time we were there. If they don't have them you can ask the concierge lounge staff and if they can get them they will.

Leannak- you should get your daughters those adorable princess nightgowns the ones that look like dresses, that would be so cute!
The CL really is big, plus it's two stories so there is plenty of room, we like to grab coffee and breakfast & eat it on our balcony

Mirage-thanks so much for sharing the pics!!!
So I see water is in a container now? Do you know if they have a bottle you can take to you room as well or do I need to bring some? Ill miss those big glass bottles of Evian! Lol

bluejasmin I think I read that they still have the glass bottles of water but they stopped carrying the plastic bottles. I think I read it on Tikiman's site. I will go check now for you.

According to Tikiman's site they have a new Natura water dispenser but you can also ask for glass bottles of the same water. They got rid of the plastic bottles as they were finding too many of them stashed in rooms after checkout.

Ok thanks! I just need a bottle every couple of days to take me evening meds at bedtime... I can believe ppl we're hoarding & wasting the water bottles..

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Dh and I are the same way. We need water to take our meds. It's sad that some people have to ruin things for all of us. I am glad though that you can still get bottles of water though they are glass.

psac I was just looking at your past and future trips and I seriously think Disney needs to give you a memorial room with a bronze plaque! I love it that you are able to go so much and I hope Disney pixie dusts you for all your trips.

Thanks for the kind words. :) I'm sure we'll get over it eventually, but right now we're in a serious Disney addiction. The next frontier is Disneyland -- my wife went as a teen, but I haven't been there, so we're thinking maybe in 2014. Then of course there's Paris and Tokyo, but I don't see those in our foreseeable future!!

Once a Disney Addict always a Disney Addict. Once you have been bitten there is no cure.:worship::worship::worship:

When we were there in April they gave us carafes of water to take to room. You can always refill any of of own too. Dd usually just used coffee cup, with lid if we were heading out from lounge.

Maybe that was what he meant by glass bottles. I will probably bring along some of our own containers to put water in to take to the parks.

I was there for 3 days with dd for 18 bday then one night in may with dh. I have to say it was awesome. The staff tries hard to refill items and clean up. In general they want you to have a great time so ask any questions from them.

Dd and I grabbed stuff and took outside to beach. I would ask for a half of glass of red wine and then mix it with the fruit lunch and ice. YUM

You can take anything to you room or to go so plan ahead.

I know I want fruit in afternoon so put some in the oatmeal cups with lid in the morning and keep in frig.

Also the cookies fit great that way too. We would take them to park and eat later when waiting in a line or on a bus etc!

Also if coming back late put a beer or wine or iced tea etc in your frig early in day for when getting back after 10p.

The staff was great about helping, no problems taking anything from lounge. Only rule was no glass to leave just use paper/plastic.

Watching water pageant and wishes from lounge was a nice experience:cloud9:

Wish I was going back but are trying VGF in Jan as a family and CBR 8/13 with dd and BFF.
We will come over to visit Tambu Lounge and the beach!

These are great ideas that I didn't think of. We have done CL in the past at the Poly but never much took anything back to the room. Now that my boys are older and CONSTANTLY hungry these ideas will come in handy. Thank you.
