All right.....blond roots here....(dyed brown to look smarter)....I don't get the Room 420 thing. Can someone explain???

Chiming in on the coffee debate, I would love to hear a taste-comparison to the old coffee. I hated the in-room coffee--even using bottled water to make it. Coffee always tasted old... like licking an ashtray.. Although the Nescafe from CCs isn't very strong, at least it tasted decent. (Contemporary Grounds coffee and Kona presspots taste the best:thumbsup2)

I just looked it up and it said it was the universal sign for marijuana.

Really?? Weird.....guess I am not "with it"....not that I would want to be--LOL! Thx for the info :goodvibes

It is the universal time of day that "natural" products are uhm... Used. Mostly in California for anxiety, glaucoma, or some other medical reason of their choice.

It was frustrating to lose the room numbers right around spring break every year! I literally had 10 room 420 signs made up every year. :rotfl2:

Excellent!! I love Stacey and all but when we are in the room there's only so many times we can watch "The Must-Do's". :thumbsup2

Hoping someone can answer my question about the slide.......

Did I read right? Is the slide in fact open?!?!? And I can't wait to find out about the coffee makers. Like I said, as long as they can get me a regular one from somewhere (trade with another room or something) I will be happy. I have to say though, it's a bit dissapointing that with such an expensive hotel, you can't just call the front desk and get a straight answer.

Just left pool yes the slide is open. Had a great afterrnoon by the pool, my son went down over 100times:rotfl2:

Dear Poly,
It has been 3 weeks since I last stepped foot in your doorway. You have no idea how much I miss you and how much I enjoyed my stay in Tahiti room 3024 with the beautiful TPV....:sad1: just saying :sad1:

Just returned from a week at Poly and wanted to thank everyone here for all the great info!

We were in Hawaii, with a great view of the theme park and a walkout patio to the beach. I had requested 3rd floor because DH is an amateur photographer (thought it would be better for fireworks/parade photos) but was surprisingly pleased with ground level & would always request it moving forward. The room was great with plenty of storage and ample bathroom counter space. My only complaint is that the light in the bathrooms is pretty weak (are you with me ladies???) - and if that's all I've got to kvetch about, I've got no problems, right?

Having typically stayed in 1 bedroom villas in recent years, we were worried about feeling cramped, but the lounge was a great place to stretch out & relax for a break without being confined to our room. We've stayed at a number of other deluxes and done concierge previously so, in comparison, we found the Poly & the lounge to be top notch. The staff was very personable, the a.m. offerings were typical & just fine (although the bagels always seemed to be a bit stale), and the cocktail hour offerings were amazing - we only made it on two days of our stay and were impressed by the spread on both nights. We even got one of the recipes from our gracious chef/host. The reports of there not being enough or nothing being replenished were completely false in our experience; there was an abundance (even after a few of the guests loaded up enough plates to feed 10 people and scurried off to their rooms with them) and when a tray emptied, it was quickly refilled. And, the view is simply the really rewarding icing on the cake - wow, what a way to start and end your day! This cannot compare to other lounges!

So, thank you for converting us. It was disappointing that the volcano pool slide never attained an operational status during our stay though, despite notices it would be ready on 3/4, so I guess we'll just need to give Poly another whirl next time so DS4 can ride the lava!

Also, for anyone going soon & wondering about the monorail service, the midday hiatus is really no problem. They are running plenty of boats to/from MK and we only waited a few minutes both times we used them.
