You know I was just thinking that, where is all the humor? Opal, Erica doing there thing, Tad with the one liners. Though I am intrigued by the Kendall and Zach pairing. Oh and what I want to know is isn't someone gonna ask for a DNA test on Di? That black wig reminds of the one Haley used to wear when she was first on all those years ago. I am really glad though that Brooke is still on a front burner story line and now with the Phoebie tribute coming up. It's just nice that the whole show isn't devoted to the younger actors. Done preaching going to bed now.

Yes, the DNA testing is bound to become an issue at some point. I'm sure Mastermind David has that base all covered.

As an AMC viewer from way back, I really can't wait for the Phoebe tribute. I sure miss her.

Call me crazy, but I saw more chemistry btwn Tad and Maria today than I have seen recently with Tad/Krystal or Maria/Edmond/Zack. I wasn't expecting it . . . It is also better than anything I'm imagining with Tad/Di aka Dixie. Big DITTO on loving seeing more of Brooke.

I used to like the actor who plays Ethan, but lately his acting seems so stiff and just, well, bad. Its almost like the actor hates the story and dialog.

Okay so the youngest a nice person could possibly think of Erica is 48 to 54 years old. She had Kendall at like 14. So Kendall is at the youngest 34! Yeah, right! And what about Zack and Ethan? Zack looks like a young 40s and Ethan looks about 28. And this new "Dixie" looks all of maybe 30. And JR is like 23????? No one looks their age here! Its starting to get weird.

I liked Ethan when they first brought the character to the show. I actually thought he was going to be a good guy. He's rather annoying now though.

When I first starting watching again, I thought Ethan was kind of a dark, mysterious character - someone interesting. Now he's just a whiny - and he should have given up when Kendall wouldn't eat the cheeseburger. She's going to disappear anyday now anyway if she gets any thinner.

I absolutely don't see Zach as Ethan's father. There is nothing similar in their looks at all. Doesn't work for me. Yeah so agree with the chemistry with Tad and Maria very nice. Well I'm just about to get my childcare license and will become a mandated reporter but no I won't report anyone if they tape up Maddie and Sam's mouths. Someone slap them!

Di/Dixie shows up at Adam's house while JR, Adam and Tad are all there. What will happen next?

You know, they tried something similar to this Di/Dead/Dixie storyline on Dallas about 20 years ago with a Jock Ewing replacement. The guy came onto the show as someone who bore a slight resemblance to Jock and as they developed it, it appeared he may have been Jock. In fact the producers had planned on it being Jock, with the requisite plastic surgery after a horrific accident thing. However, the viewer (and cast) backlash was so great along the lines of how dare you replace Jim Davis as Jock that the dropped the storyline like a hot potato. What AMC should do, if they could pull it off, is have Di/Dead/Dixie pretend to be Dixie for a while and then all of a sudden Cady McClain appears as real Dixie and they all rip Di/Dead/Dixie and David apart.

I actually entertained the idea that they MIGHT be bringing Cady McClain back and this is just a diversion. But who knows?

Next week: Phoebe passes on to the Great Beyond, leaving behind misery and heartbreak in her wake, for Brooke most of all. Adam’s own mortality comes into question when he endures a few health scares, with a concerned Brooke by his side. Ryan asks for Kendall’s aid in regards to his marriage with Greenlee, which has hit the skids due to his own fear of becoming like his Lavery brothers. Ryan insists he will never allow himself to father any children of his own, because of that fear. With the loss of his only two brothers, Ryan’s focus inevitably turns to his only surviving sibling Erin, well, he hopes surviving. An amorous JR and Kendall are in cahoots, JR even okays her marrying Zach. Kendall won’t be the only woman in JR’s life; soon, a grown-up Amanda enters the picture. And how. Zach and Maria rekindle the flames, and Zach does what he can to earn the people’s trust after his boneheaded moves from before.

May Sweeps: There is a slight question of whether Erica and Jackson will make it down the aisle, again, on location in Florida. Before Phoebe dies, and she will die, she leaves a nasty problem for Jamie, Babe and their loved ones to deal with; seems she reverted to type (from her bad diva origins in the 1970s) before her death. JR will benefit from Phoebe’s bad behavior. Phoebe’s death will result in major, heartbreaking story for Brooke, perhaps a love interest (Adam?) too. Pine Valley welcomes Amanda Dillon, who may just be a chip off the old Janet. Di infiltrates Dixie’s world, earning JR’s trust, Tad’s curiosity and doing a number on even David himself, who started the charade. Ryan and Greenlee face some tough battles in the aftermath of Braden’s and Jonathan’s deaths, including, for Ryan, locating the last remaining sibling, Erin, before it’s too late. Kendall forces Ethan through hoops to re-win her love, but he’ll have JR to contend with too. Zach and Maria would have such a lovely life together, if it weren’t for her and Edmund’s children, Sam and Maddie. They’ll go to great lengths to make this burgeoning couple regret the day they met. The memorial service for Phoebe Wallingford will be held during the week of May 9, with more than a few special guests.

Ohhhhh those spoilers sound good. Though it sounds like Sam and Maddie are going to continue to be pains. I'm dying to know what Phoebie did!!!

Eddumb was on soaptalk this am and he appears to be very arragant in the way he holds himself but he said some really nice things about Eva LaRue and his exit from the show. Especially sweet things about his daughter.

Can Sam and Maddie get any ruder??? I still can't believe that Maria lets them get away with the way that they treat her (after all, she IS Hector Santos's daughter!), especially the way that Maddie was speaking to her the other day, when she had the unsupervised party at Wildwind. Brats.

The Kendall / Zach pairing is kind of interesting - though disappointing in a way, too. It would have been nice to see Kendall find real love, for once. Erica and Maria are going to throw a fit when they find out, if Kendall decides to go ahead and marry Zach! I guess that any prospect of Kendall getting together with JR was shattered, when she found out that it was he who paid off and arranged for the fake witness to Zach's "confession". I am glad that Greenlee is sticking by her and trying to protect her, though.

That must be some pretty sophisticated store bought hair dye that David found for Di - to be able to completely transform her hair from dark brown to light blonde in one home treatment - amazing! I guess he bought her the "Dixie-like" outfit, too....... I can't imagine how they are ever going to pull off that hoax!

I also thought that Tad's dream about Dixie having been found frozen was real, for a second........until he heard the radio newscaster say ".........Mrs. Martin is thawing comfortably at a facility in Switzerland........"! I also agree that there was more apparent chemistry and feeling between Tad and Maria than we've seen between either of them and anyone else, lately!

I also agree that it's wonderful that Brooke is finally back on the front burner (or close to it, anyway) - it's been too long!

And I hope that they don't have Adam get very sick - even though he is pretty despicable, it was painful to watch him have those episodes, last week. It was nice to see JR expressing some sort of love / loyalty to Adam for 2 seconds, last week, too.

I just saw todays episode and someone put Ryan back in the cave please. I just want to kick him. Very affective stuff with Lilly and school actually kinda of freaked me because if someone did that to my kid.

Doesn't David Canary usually take a summer vacation maybe their leading up to his leaving for a few weeks?

Di's going to be Little Adam's nanny? Here's what I observed:

Adam was WAY too crazy just because some woman showed up at the door. Didn't he freak out a little too much?

Tad recognizes Di, and mentions her new hair, but then leaves it at that. Should Mr. Private Eye be more suspicious?

JR all sweet and lovey dovey all of a sudden. Does he have the hots for Di? That would be weird.

Will anyone question the old nanny and ask her if she really met Di at the agency?

Can't wait to see how this plays out.

S&K's Mom - I'm with you - I wish that Ryan would fall in that same mine shaft where Greenlee was trapped, years ago..........and STAY THERE! He's being so rude to Greenlee "for no reason" - I refuse to believe that he has no "power" over his memories of Jonathan. He was never haunted by memories of Braden, and wasn't really haunted by memories of his abusive father until recently. Why did Erica have to go and tell him that Chris Stamp wasn't his father??? Maybe if she hadn't, a lot of this could have been avoided, somehow.............

Also, I can't imagine any real school kids being so cruel to anyone, as they were to Lily, yesterday. And I don't understand how that Autumn girl never seems to get in trouble, but the principal is always calling Lily into her office or blaming her for things. Jack should give that principal a piece of his mind, especially after that same girl and her friends are the ones who made Lily drink alcohol, last year. Hopefully Sam will "protect" her (.......and hopefully she can teach him about respecting one's parents, so that he will be more decent to Maria!).

You're right about "Adam" and "Stuart's" annual fishing trip, that keeps David Canary away and the 2 characters "up in the mountains" for about a month, each summer - maybe the character's health is how they will lead into his absence this year - good thought!

Grinningghost - I think that Di made a point of saying that she didn't even register with the agency - she just ran right over, when she heard the other nannies talking........so presumably, they may never have seen her there - she might have just been "eavesdropping", or something (which would explain why the former nanny wouldn't recognize her......or something!) I was so ready for Di to burst into a rendition of "You Are My Sunshine", right there during the "interview" with JR, and JR shouting "YOU'RE HIRED"! (I guess she's waiting to pull out "the big guns" for a time when her fate is less certain, with JR and Adam!) I think that Adam is right to freak out over a strange woman showing up at the door and saying "I'm your new nanny", just hours after the last one was fired, although he did overrreact! At least she has some sort of credentials from working with a family whom the Chandlers apparently know (I wonder how David pulled that one off), but aside from that, she's not even registered with the agency! And doesn't anyone immediately notice her resemblance to Dixie?! I guess David's planning to have her ingratiate herself into the Chandlers' and Tad's lives, and subtley drop "hints from the past" that will make them think of Dixie, and reinforce the memories with her resemblance to Dixie.........until they're actually believing that maybe she IS Dixie........and then she'll hop a plane and disappear, or something!

Another vote for dropping Ryan in the mine. Didn't Gillian come back to him after she died? How come people in PV always haunt after their dead? Except for Ed-dumb? He's just dead.

Greens needs to be pregnant, now.

How did Di get that fancy reference all cooked up? This storyline is just plain stupid.

And can Kendall please change, I really don't like her in that green dress.
