Yeah Pam, I have a feeling that Maria will have some sort of nervous breakdown (how can she NOT, with those 2 disrespectful kids, Kendall probably marrying Zach, Wildwind reminding her of her disappointment in Ed-dumb, and Brooke controlling the family finances?!) and then leave town over the summer. It's too bad - I really used to like Maria's character - but they've had her acting so obnoxious lately that I can't say that I would miss her very much. Another ruined character - just like Ed-dumb.
Speaking of which, I have a feeling that Maria's upcoming drunken tirade will be reminiscent of Erica's, when she accepted the Woman of the Year award, years ago, when she was addicted to painkillers (does anyone remember that?! It was a GREAT scene, that was preceded by her telling off Maria and Brooke in the ladies' room.)! In fact, I immediately thought of that scene (the writers probably wanted us to remember it) when Erica reminded Maria about how she stole her prescription pad, called her "Saint Maria of the Push Up Bra", etc. in the ladies' room, yesterday. I have a feeling that it's going to be the same thing all over again, with Maria telling off everyone in the room. It looks like she has some choice words with Ethan afterwards, too. I wonder if he will be the one to get her off the stage and save her from further embarrassment?
MARY AND PALMER??!! What a weird pairing! I wonder how long it will be before Opal throws her hat back into the ring and tries to win Palmer back, for good? It WAS nice to see Mary, though - she's very funny - it's too bad that they don't have more for her to do.
I liked Stuart's discussion with Di, yesterday - I had predicted that he would actually think that she WAS Dixie when he first came upon her, but he did notice the resemblance.
Jillpie - I don't think that Di is really Dixie, I think that she just happens to look a bit like her and happens to have been in a bad car accident in the past. I suspect that the writers are sort of "leaving it open", though, so that they COULD have her "be" Dixie if they wanted to, in the future (ie: as Di becomes more a "part of the family" in the Chandler home, maybe she'll start remembering some Dixie-like things that only Dixie would know). The thing that throws me off is that when Di was still in prison, they showed her singing "You are My Sunshine" (Dixie's song for JR) at the exact moment that JR happened to be singing that song to Little Adam, and she also said "Tad" in sort of a longing way, when she first saw Tad come to visit Krystal. So maybe they eventually WILL reveal that she really IS Dixie (with amnesia, of course). But at this point, we're to believe that she's just a lookalike.
