I need another background question answered. Who the heck was Chris Martin Ryan's supposed brother. I missed that whole era as I was still working those hours.

I never heard of a Chris Martin - did they mention that today. Chris Stamp was supposedly Ryan's real father - until today of course when his journal said that he really wasn't his father.

I was thinking this today - do you think that maybe Jonathan killed Paul Kramer? He could have somehow found out about the whole baby switch thing & killed Paul so he kept his mouth shut so Miranda never actually would have "come into the picture". A long shot, but those "murder" storylines are usually far fetched when it comes to who the actual murderer is. (Remember the storyline when Miriam killed someone - I think it was a Zach Grayson or someone like that?!!?)

Oh sorry, Chris Stamp. Good thought on Jonathan killing Paul Cramer. I wonder if it's a "minor" charactor they are looking to take off the show. But then they always come back you know after having all the facial surgery you get in prison!!

I really think it is pretty cheap how they wiped out that whole Chris Stamp/Ryan being his son storyline in less than 5 minutes. What a dumb, convoluted way to get the story to match up with where they seem to be taking Ryan. "Hey, let's make Ryan lose it because he thinks he is an abuser like Jonathon. But wait, he isn't really a Llavery. Oh, no problem, he can find a journal in a box where Chris states he was never his son" That was just plain stupid in my opinion. Chris's things were in a box, you don't think that Erica would have looked through that stuff before. What's next? Jackson isn't Greenlee's dad or Opal reveals she lied about being Tad's mum. I hate when they trash the backstory like that. Sorry, vent over.

Haven't seen the show in about a week, and I see I haven't missed much. Not surprised about Ed-dumb leaving, his X-wife needs to go too, as I am sick of her also. I feel in the next year, a WHOLE NEW crew will be in at Pine Valley, and we won't recognize any of them....maybe they will keep Erica, who knows??

I haven't been around in a while, since I came down off my SSW buzz! Anyway, it was great to catch up on what ya'll have been talking about. I have a quick question, I just started watching AMC last summer so I was wondering if someone here could tell me where I could read up on AMC history? (past story lines,etc.) Sometimes I get confused because I don't know who and what they are talking about. Thanks!

I agree. I think they could have done a lot more with the story line with Chris being Ryan's dad. They way they handled that "history" was poorly done IMO!

One of Erica's 'staff' (she mentioned a name but I couldn't hear her) brought out some old boxes he found in her house and dumped them all around her living room. He was 'cleaning out things' and she was going through them. It was so contrived. She 'found' a box of Chris's things and thought Ryan may like them. If you knew you had Chris' belongings wouldn't you have thought to have given them to Ryan when he first came back. Like I said the whole thing was really kind of insulting to the viewer.

I can't remember-- did Ryan and Chris ever had a DNA test or anything to prove Chris was Ryan's father or did Ryan just take Chris' word for it??? This whole swithcing parentage is getting old.

I agree, the whole Ryan's daddy thing is insulting!!! Turning Ryan into a "true" Lavery is also insulting. He's always had a little simmering temper, but this is not him, and I find it disgusting that they are trying to make him believe he's like Johnny boy.

So, what do you supposed we missed between Ethan and Zach while they interrupted us today? Have I mentioned that Ethan is soooooooooooo good looking?

I love Jamie and Tad together, they play so well off each other. They are a good father son team, let's hope they keep them both around for a long time.

I'm going to miss Maggie when she goes with Bianca, I like the actress, and now that she's come to her senses, I wish she could stay.

Wow, that was a very violent fight scene today at the bar, AMC does not usually get that violent. Love how Zach is playing pool with blood all over his face LOL.

I agree, Erika - that was some fight between Ryan and Zach - I'm sure that they had a good fight choreographer for it - those were some pretty significant stunts for non-stunt-people to attempt!

Also, I agree that the whole Ryan-not-being-Chris's-son-thing is very insulting to we viewers. Do you all remember how long it took them to develop the storyline where Chris revealed that he WAS Ryan's father? And how much it meant to him when Chris gave him the wedding ring that he had given Ryan's mother, to give to Kendall? And now, within 2 seconds, Chris ISN'T Ryan's father, and no further "investigation" is required? Even ERICA didn't seem that surprised by that fact, whether or not she had read the journal ahead of time. And if she HAD read the journal ahead of time.....WHY WOULD SHE SHOW IT TO RYAN NOW, OF ALL TIMES, WHILE HIS SHOOTER IS STILL "ON THE LOOSE" AND SHE KNOWS THAT HE IS UNDER STRESS??!! So stupid.

Loved the conversation between Aidan and Maggie today, though - so glad that it seems like she realizes what Jonathan is all about.

And the scenes with Jonathan and Bianca today were very scary - they are both doing wonderful jobs with them, and I really felt uncomfortable watching them!

I really hope that this new "I AM A LAVERY"-thing doesn't rip Ryan and Greenlee apart (the same way I hope that Ethan's new "I AM A CAMBIAS"-thing doesn't rip Ethan and Kendall apart!)

Loved seeing Simone today, if only for a few seconds - hope that that means that she will be back full-time, soon, with her great one-liners and comic relief scenes!

I've watched OLTL after AMC since before the whole baby switch thing. I would be very surprised if Kelly was actually working with Kevin. She's felt bad about the whole thing for quite some time. Kevin's been trying to get her to "stand with him" "our son needs you" recently, which is such a joke since he hated her not too long ago & wouldn't even let her see "Ace" for more than an hour every other week!

There's been such a change in her character since she first lost her baby that I think it would be totally out of character for her to help Kevin now. JMHO

And yes, Jonathan scares the bejeebers out of me! Bianca's been doing a great job as usual, but I can't stand Jonathan & don't particularly care for the actor playing him either. He doesn't seem to be able to play "normal" at all. He was always creepy - even when he first came on the show. And the other day when he gave the PSA instead of Maggie - let's just say it seemed like "Jonathan" instead of the actor. His eyes....

Yay for Babe today!!!!!!!!!!!! She was great, both with Lily and "woman beater". I don't think I could ever get tired of Jamie LOL. I do get tired of Erica firing her mouth off though!
