I had to go catch up too. Your shopping pictures always put me in a better mood MeMom.
I hope your summer break is going well. Our kiddos just got out yesterday and it's too chilly to do anything fun yet. (just 58 degrees!)
It's much warmer than that here. I worked out in the yard yesterday cutting back a bunch of branches and shrubs and spraying weed killer. A nice swim would have been nice after that, but I had to settle for a shower.
I am glad you enjoyed the shopping pictures.
I've never been inside the Art of
Disney store, but it looks like it has some unique merchandise. Very nice!
The Art of Disney stores are very interesting. There is something for every taste and budget and Disney special interest.
YAY for the opening of AOA!! I've been watching Facebook for updates and to see pictures!
Love the Art of Disney store!! I really want to own one of the Haunted Mansion art pieces some day!!!
There are
youtube videos up now, so you can see the opening ceremony, if you want. It would be cool to stay in a Disney resort on the first night it is open.
Hope you get a HM piece soon. Maybe for a birthday or Christmas present from an adoring husband?
That's it! The hunt for new couch cushions is over! I'll have to wait a little longer for them but I want those Magic Kingdom ones!! I love that shop....I could spend a
lot of money in there! Just a reminder for me to keep saving saving saving! The other day as I was transferring money from accounts to pay for the trip I was singing to myself "just keep saving, just keep saving, just keep saving saving saving..." a la Dory!
They are experimenting (or they are going to be) with a Disney savings program. I am interested to see the details on this as it evolves.
I love that store!!! One day I will bring one of those beauties home.
What are some of your favorites? I think the Disney Precious Moments figurines in the stores are so cute!
There was something about your shopping at Art of Disney that really had me longing to go back.
I would love to come home with some of the retro looking "Shaq" merchandise!
I think you will have plenty of time to shop for art this summer.

I don't need to buy anything, but I do enjoy looking. I like the print of Mickey and Minnie on the Polynesian beach. I also like the different resort prints.
I can't stay glued to my laptop, either, but I wish I could. Seeing the pictures of guests checking in made me SO excited!
I love the Art of Disney pictures - I really want one of those mugs with the tickets on them.
It would have been nice to be sitting out by the pool watching Finding Nemo on the big screen last night with the sounds of kids laughing and splashing in the background. And this morning, a first morning walk around AoA would be awesome! The bridge is open, so I will be having some morning walks over there.
I love the Art of Animation store!! I remember loving those IASW cushions while we were there, but they were way too pricey!! That ticket book mug is adorable though!
They also have the ticket book as a magnet and I think maybe a couple of other items.
So many things in WDW are too pricey, in my opinion. My souvenirs are usually pretty cheap.
Love so many things in the Art of Disney store!! I did not go in there on our last trip.

I will need to make of point of going next time.
John always likes to go in the Art of Disney stores for some reason. I don't really pay attention to what it is he's looking at, because I am always busy taking pictures. I will have to remember to see what it is he goes in there for.
Butter tarts....i've never actually eaten a full one because they are usually filled with raisins!

They are tart shells filled with a butter and sugar type of mixture (and usually raisins or nuts)....similar to a mini pecan pie but without the pecans! My mother
loves them!! They are SUPER sweet!
Pecan pie is delicious, but so sweet. A thin slice is plenty!
