All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

Ahh Epcot!! How I'd love to be at you right now!!

I wanted to give everyone a quick update on the young man in my town who was injured in Afghanistan. He did lose his legs & both arms below the elbow but he's doing really really well. He's at Walter Reed now & is getting therapy & will be fitted for his prosthetics soon. His story has really touched our community & there are many fundraisers being planned.

The most amazing thing happened yesterday. A website heard about Taylor's story & challenged their readers to raise a $30,000 donation. As of this morning, less than 24 hrs later, they're over $145,0000!! It's so amazing to see that support from all over the world.

I just wanted to update everyone & thank you for your prayers. :)

That's wonderful!! I love it when people really step up to help! Reminds me of how truly good people really are when it matters most. Touching.

Love the Epcot character tour! Bella is getting so much better at getting right up there, even with reservation!

Are you going to make us all look up Habibi?:confused3

Nice Epcot pics to start off my Friday morning.:thumbsup2

It was a little Epcot dreaming and then off to the grocery store for me. In a little while, I need to do a couple of errands, but it looks like rain, so maybe not. It has been so nice having this week of doing what I wanted to do - and having time to do nothing. :thumbsup2
I was thrilled to be able to see the opening of AoA yesterday. Little things make me happy. :)

Great story! So awesome that they surpassed their expectations by tons! Keep us posted as things progress.

Bella is getting better, for sure, but I really see her true feelings in the body language as I look at these pictures.

I am a teacher - of course, I am going to make you look it up!!! How are you ever going to learn anything if I tell you all the answers. :sad2: :teacher:

My DS who knows a little arabic said Habibi means love or sweetheart.

The pictures of the girls with the princess were great. I am with Bella no beast for me. She was brave to touch his claws.

Cover your paper, please. I sent her to look it up for herself! ;)

I cracked up when I saw her little back arched as she was letting Belle know there was no way she was getting any closer.

I thought school was out! We don't need ta learn nuthin' during summer!

I try not to be a teacher, but it has its firm grasp on me sometimes, and I forget. This week was nice - only one half day at school to work in the room. Next week - three days of workshops. I will be very much reminded of all things schoolish.

Ahhh...Epcot!! I miss you so. We're almost down to the 2 month mark!! I can't believe it.

I loved what you had to say about the characters. I always want to thank each of them. They have no idea how much joy they bring to little ones.

I love the Coke machine! Only in WDW. :goodvibes

I didn't cheat! I looked up habibi. But I won't tell anyone so MeMom doesn't have to take away my paper and call my parents. :rotfl:

Awesome Epcot update! Seeing how happy those little girls are in the happiest place on Earth just makes me smile.

Oh no, a DTD bus to the Beach Club! :scared1: Jeremy and I learned our lesson in November. That is the worst bus service ever!! It took over an hour for us to get back to the Boardwalk (which is the last stop). You poor things.

I love the IG! What a gem.

Love the girls with the characters. Bella is so cute that she like the girls but shys away for the prince. Too cute.

I am always impressed with the characters around Disney, they have such a wonderful positive impact on the little ones (and adults too!) that love them! I can't believe it took an hour and a half to get to the BC from DTD!

So great to see our service men and women supported this way. :goodvibes

Funny that the Boardwalk resorts and the monrail resorts have the worst bus service. I have been on the forever bus ride. Also learned to get off the first stop and walk, usually faster than staying on the bus.... if you have the energy of course.;)
Sometimes, if you are in no hurry the bus is not a bad place to rest and enjoy the cool, sometimes cold air conditioning.

Loved the Walk around EPCOT- I am sure we were on opposite ends of the "world" as we walked a similar path but at different times. :goodvibes

Ahhhh, Beach Club! That is a happy sight for me. Sorry the bus took so long. I am not a fan of bussing it around the World so I have been insisting on a rental car.

Ooh, Epcot AND Beach Club! That stinks about the bus to BC taking forever, though.

I love the pictures of the girls with the characters - and Bella's body language! :rotfl:

Hurray for no more school! I now have a 1st grader and a 3rd grader! Sorry the bus took so long. Looks pretty empty in Epcot.

I hate feeling like you are wasting Disney time on buses and lines and such. I can't wait for my cousin's little girl to see the princesses. It has been a long time since my 16 year old daughter was little.

2012 is a special year for you and for Kristen. :) We wish you both all the best through your planning and countdowns to the big days.

We always do thank the characters as we leave. Some are okay in their roles, and some are excellent. It's always extra nice to get one of those who truly do try to make our two minutes with them as good as they can be. :goodvibes

The big ones also.

I moved your quote out of order to keep it with the conversation and add my ::yes:: to it.

They were certainly enjoying their morning, weren't they? Bella is really into the Disney Princesses right now in a big way. I'm excited about seeing her with them again in just a few weeks.

Thanks for not cheating. I hate it when one person tells the answers and everyone else writes down the same thing. However, the evilness in me enjoys pointing out when someone copies the exact wrong answer from someone else. ;)

Yeah, we won't be doing that one again. We were debating about going to Pop and dropping off what we had bought, so next time, that will be our option. ::yes::

We waited and waited, and there were two families of people who had already been waiting. Jill finally went over to another bus when it pulled up and asked the driver to check on things. He did, and then he said a bus was on its way. It arrived a few minutes later.

I remember another long bus wait we had one time trying to leave Beach Club. I think we waited about 45 minutes that time.

It does feel good to be on a cool bus when leaving a hot park. :thumbsup2

The bus wait was bad, but the walk to Epcot from BC is nice, so I guess everthing can't be great. right?

We really have had very, very few issues with buses in all of our visits. I guess we've been lucky.

And Brooklynn, of course, never lets go of her newest animal.

I do love watching the expressions on the girls faces as they talk to the characters. I hope your cousin's little girl loves being there and very much enjoys her magical moments with the characters. :goodvibes
