. Go Phillies.Happy for Philly fans. I’m still a grumpy Yankees/NY Rangers fan this morning. At least the NY Giants and NYCFC won yesterday. So it was a mixed sports day for me. Please beat Houston Philly. Oh, and Philly please lose to NYCFC on Sunday. Seeing Philly having a better season in 2 sports over NY in one week would be really irritating.![]()

2013.The Yankees getting swept made the Phillies victory even sweeter.
I’m too lazy to look it up. When and why did the Astros switch to the American League?

Milwaukee switched to the NL before that. Hmmm. I have to dig deeper.https://www.britannica.com/topic/Houston-Astros
In 2013 the Astros franchise was moved from the NL Central to the AL West to create two 15-team North American major baseball leagues.
Sacramento, Buffalo, Charlotte, Nashville, Columbus, Memphis, and Salt Lake City, all have at least one major sports franchise (football, basketball, baseball, hockey) and no titles.OK. I DO feel a bit sad for the Padres. I think San Diego is the only major US that has never won a sports championship.
The old AFL doesn’t count in my book.
And they lost the Clippers and Chargers to LA.
Yeah, but I said “major” US cities.Sacramento, Buffalo, Charlotte, Nashville, Columbus, Memphis, and Salt Lake City, all have at least one major sports franchise (football, basketball, baseball, hockey) and no titles.

Yeah, in late September the playoffs were in serious doubt. A month later.I am just in shock. I wasn't even sure the Phillies were making the playoffs originally, let alone win the wildcard round! This is fantastic.
But now I'll be annoyed if they lose the World Series to those cheaters.
