Al Sharpton Strikes Again!

Apparently not , they were found not guilty, tragic things happen, they happen everyday, nobody wins in this situation , no cop ever wants to kill anyone.

Do you expect them to stand there and get shot or run over, is a police funeral a better deal for you? Police officers are killed every single day, some for hesitating instead of reacting to a very real threat that could cost them their lives.

I dont recall seeing police officer kneeling in the street when they are executed by criminals, why is that ok?

Dont fool yourself for a second and think al sharpton is not all about al sharpton, anything to get his mug on the TV

Guess you did not see that beating in Philly! And then there is the cop who committed sod*my on female prisoners. Cops behaving just as criminal as the criminals.

I believe they were looking for cop killers? Not just randomly beating people for the heck of it, I have not seen the video and will wait for a real investigatory decision on the incident not a snip of a video the media put out to spin whatever the story is they are spinning.

There are bad cops like there are bad every other occupation, human beings are human being, some good some not so good. That does not mean these particular officers did anything wrong other than protect themselves from a perceived threat. Not Guilty.

Tawana Brawley...he was in on that. Had those cops ready to hang..and it was a hoax. I don't ever recall his apologizing. That was just "okay". The guy is all about himself.

Enough said! 20 years ago I knew he was an idiot and nothing has changed.

You said it. I know that of course sometimes police officers cross the line. Yet when someone is in that crisis, they call 911 and I doubt they think twice about possible cop brutality and more about getting those officers there to save them from whatever is threatening them. Maybe I live in a glass bubble but its rare for me to jump all over the bandwagon of "the police are the ones to fear". I couldn't do what they do and I can't say in all honesty that I don't sometimes see how and why these situations happen in the first place. I sure as heck don't base my judgements on what the media reports.

In any case, I don't think the Al Sharptons of this world worry too much about the victims of police brutality as much as they do their air time.

I'm sure not everyone is aware of an incident that happened in NYC between the NYPD and Sean Bell.....regardless of what you think about the situation, 2 weeks after the NYPD's verdict came down as not guilty Al Sharpton has 6 places in NYC paralyzed by people on their knees.
I am so sad that the people that already deal with a horrible commute day to day & have had nothing to do with the verdict are stuck in in their cars on the first warm day trying to get home to their families, pick up their kids, have doctors appointments.
We all have the right to protest but do it in a manner that doesn't cause others problems & stress.
I see Sharpton as so self consumed & thoughtless:confused3

I have plenty of family members and friends that were "caught" in the protest today. Not one of them complained about it. None of them are angry at Sharpton, Mrs. Bell or the protestors. As a matter of fact, they agree 110% with what was done today.

a protest kind of has to cause some problems and stress for some folks...
otherwise it would just be a rally and not get any publicity.....

Hey Al! How about going to down to Knoxville and speaking about what happened there?????????:confused3

I havent heard of an Apology to the Duke LaCross players either....

That being said...Police Brutality is a real thing and something should be done about it, I agree. but the way Al Sharpton handles it is wrong. He is no MLK by any means. He stands no more for civil rights than the KKK does. Sharpton is about his own personal agenda. Blacks are not the only ones that have civil rights and I have yet to see him support a white person shot down by a black person and the black person getting aquitted for it...If he was really about civil rights he would support both sides but he is as racist as the KKK....were the cops wrong perhaps....were the cops right perhaps....Those of us that are not cops cannot pretend to imagine what they feel when there life is on the line day in and day out. I doubt a gang member of any color has a 2nd thought about shooting someone especially a police officer so why should we expect any more from a police officer.

I really dont know the story about this latest protest or the trial so I will not comment on that directly. Cops lay there lives on the line everyday for innocent people to live care free lives. It wasnt the cops that failed this person it was the judicial system and I assume a jury of peers. So dont fault the cops....I will more often than not side with cops because Al Sharpton is not coming to my house when someone breaks in is he....JMHO

But that wasn't a HATE crime... those black crackhead thugs would have pounced upon a black couple driving along and raped, tortured and murdered both of them over a couple of days. The couple being white had nothing to do with it. :rolleyes1 Unfortunately, when people have tried to protest, they were white idiots and were labeled skinheads, white supremacists, etc...

I would like to think that most people don't give Al Sharpton any credibility, or take him seriously. Anyone who supports him knows that he is a racist, attention monger, right? He is all about extending his own camera time, at the expense of families, usually. I think he was also one of the ones screaming about those horrible white boys who raped the black hooker oops I mean private dancer over in North Carolina.

We saw a protest while we were in NYC in October - didn't stop traffic, didn't incite riots. Just made their opinions known.

I liked him best when he wore sweat suites all the time
OH GOSH I REMEMBER THAT!!!! WITH THE BIG THICK GOLD CHAINS AND THE POMPADOO HAIR-DO:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Forget about the cops ready to hang! One man KILLED HIMSELF over what Al Sharpton did - KILLED HIMSELF! Al Sharpton made his life hell, and he was innocent. That man had a family and kids. He wasn't no drug dealer with a criminal record who struck a police officer with his car, then hitting a police van, backing up and ramming the police van for a second time, just for good measure.

You all are absolutely right. Al Sharpton (won't give him the honor of addressing him as reverend) is all about himself.

TYPICAL?!?!? What does THAT mean? It's not about supporting AL, it's about supporting the cause. I agree totally with cops having to defend themselves, but that is why they go to the POLICE ACADEMY, to learn how to do it RIGHT. Criminal or not (NOT!) 50 shots was ridiculous and they have every right to protest and tie up anything they want. People are pissed because of that and I'm sorry that somewhere some little boy was missing his field trip but right there, a woman is missing her fiance and her child is missing it's FATHER.

You know we'll have to agree to disagree on this because I do believe these men are guilty of murder. I also believe the judge did an huge injustice by not allowing all the evidence to be heard.

Some cops are just as bad and corrupt as the criminals on the street.

Another thing, I might not agree with Al on some things, but at least the man has enough guts to stand up for what he believes in rather you agree or not.
This isn't just about white cops beating up black men anymore, it's about bad cops in general of all races beating and killing innocent people of all races.

That said, people need to be careful about what they say because GOD forbid one of our son's or daughters be the next Sean Bell or Micheal Mckinny from Ball State.

Police officers, doing their jobs, must defend themselves against thugs - people who don't respect the law (as it seemed this carload was, since they didn't stop when the police identified themselves)... then have to defend their actions in court. The court agreed their actions were justified. The protestors do have the right to protest all they want, but they don't have the right to tie up "anything they want" - many of them were arrested. Protest all you want, it's your right, but do it according to the regulations which govern your actions. Don't punish your fellow citizens because you don't agree with the court system!

Typical of what???

A black woman's view?
A mother of a 16 year old who "fits the description"?
A person who lives in a inner city section of NYC?
A resident of NYC who has had enough?
A person who is sick of the tension between her neighborhood and the NYPD?

Exactly

Sean Bell's daughters will never get the opportunity to have their father accompany them on a field trip.

Yes he's a donkey butt to those who probably never endured police brutality, and probably never lost a loved one due to rogue trigger happy cops.

Yes long live donkey butt keep fighting:thumbsup2

Let's not forget Big Al's efforts in the Tawana Brawley incident. He's the worst kind of human.

So who is this drug dealer you speak of?

About the 50 shots:
It all happens in seconds. If you're not the one that fired the shots, you don't know who did (bad guy/good guy) so if one shot is fired, then everyone starts shooting. The only opinion I can trust on this is that of my husband (NYPD). He told me, unless you're in my shoes, you have no idea.
This all happened in my husband's precinct.
