AK Wilderness Explorers

I read this does not start until 10am, I will be at AK in June on an 8 am EMH opening. Plan to go straight to Kilimajaro Safaris, but some of the WE badges are earned on this ride. Is the WE booklet available for us to grab on the way so we can check off animals?

I didn't realize it didn't start until 10am. I had planned on getting started right away. However, I am told that you can pick up a booklet at all of the badge locations. I think the initial station in the Oasis is where they explain it to you and teach you the "call" or whatever it's called.

The book was only available at some badge locations, but I would keep your eye out as you enter the park, they may have some out for you when you enter.

When we were there this Sunday (May 18th) the Wilderness Explorer HQ was open at rope drop and my girls started completing the challenges right away. Prior to doing the Kilimanjaro Safari at 09:35 my girls completed the Wilderness Explorer Call challenge, the Flamingo challenge, the Music challenge and the Asian Culture challenge.
