We are not going until October, but I am planning our mornings at least. When we go to AK I know that I want to run and grab some EE fastpasses and then meet up with the rest of the family to head over to the safari and such. I was hoping someone had a good plan of attack for that...maybe the quickest route?

You will be stopped for the morning parade inside the park. A good percentage of the crowd will be headed to EE a soon as the parade rope is dropped. We were there in November and road several times in a row. You won't have any trouble getting a fast pass in the morning.

We like going through Dinoland. My son and I ride Dinosaur while Hubby gets the EE FPs. They're close by each other.

If you don't have a runner, you kinda have to make a decision: Everest or Safari. Our runner actually ran to everest at rope drop, got the fps, and ran through asia to africa and got to the safari about 10 minutes after we did. Couldn't believe how fast he ran. That would have taken me a half hour.

I guess thats what i meant by my question, I will be the runner because i am taking 3 newbies, but I have only been to AK twice before, and was wondering if someone could point out the best path to EE and then back to safari....i guess i have some map studying to do haha

The past two years we have gone the week before Christmas, and we would scoot over to EE, get FPs, ride EE, then scoot over to Safari. Then we would wait for our EE FPs to open and ride again. Then scoot over to Primeval Whirl. We don't really worry about any other attractions.

I always get us lost, so no directions from me.

As for a path, you have to go straight ahead no matter what up to Discovery Island (the area around the tree). When you get there and there are shops on either side, bear right.

You then have a choice - bear a hard right past Flame Tree BBQ towards Dinoland, left just before the Boneyard and up to Everest, or go straight ahead, take a right just before the Yak and Yeti Restaurant, and follow to Everest.

Visually, it looks to be about the same distance. I'd pick the way less people seem to be taking. :)
