The long-awaited AirPort Utility app for iOS devices is now available on the iTunes App Store. It's free; however, you must have iOS 5 on your device in order to use it.

With it, it's now possible to modify parameters on an AirPort Extreme or AirPort Express without a computer. No longer will you need to setup your wireless router at home and pray that it will work once you arrive at WDW.

Thanks Lew - I will make sure to go over and grab that.

Now if I could just get my mail from the cloud, iOS 5 might actually be workable. :headache:

Hi Vicki...

Sorry to hear about your email issues. Have you checked on the Apple Support Communities for a fix? I see others are having some issues. In light of your issues, I'm going to wait a few days before I move over from MobileMe.

I had a terrible time upgrading to iOS 5. I ending up having to go the reset route on my iPhone 4. I've never had an upgrade issue until this one.

I had lots of fun trying to update my iPad to iOS 5 last night. Multiple attempts where it said it couldn't contact the upgrade server. Finally about 8pm eastern it started.

Also tried to update my iPhone 3GS, but the download of the software kept timing out.

I'm loading iOS 5 on my 3GS as I type this.

My iPhone 4S is supposed to be delivered tomorrow.

I have updated all "my" stuff, but I'm going to tell my hubby to wait a week or so.

The Cloud mail server has not been working all day - I didn't get any e-mails in to my .me account since 8:30 this morning (on any device - MacBook, phone or iPad) until I suddenly got 40 e-mails around 5 PM - headers only. The body of them all says "has not been downloaded from the server." I also spent an hour and a half on the phone with a Sr. Support Tech @ Apple. They were working on it, but once the e-mails just showed up like that, we both realized it really was a server traffic type issue. Hopefully it will resolve itself in a day or two.

(PS - for others - the messages are either that Mail can't be loaded, or that your password is incorrect - that is a "fake" message for lack of a better term - there is nothing wrong w/your password I'm guessing).

OK - enough tech talk! LOL!

Have to agree - the upgrade process to iOS5 and iCloud has been pretty painful. Doesn't help that my .me address and my iTunes account address are two separate accounts (grrr).

But back on topic, thanks for posting that, Lew! Nice to finally get Airport Utility on the iPhone/iPad!
