Airline Employee Rates

I saw the "blurb" about the hotels sometimes offering 50% off rack rates to airline employees. Has anyone been able to take advantage of this?

We are hopefully staying at CBR from 2/5-2/11/2009. I wonder what kind of a rate it would be!

There is actually a WDW Interline Number. The first two times I called CRO had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for an airline rate, but the third time the person gave me the direct line for Interline Travel. The number is 407-828-3111.

Ah yes, I found that out yesterday when I called as well. they said that their 2009 interline rates are not out yet, hopefully soon.

What kind of rate did you get and where?

I used to work for a corporate travel agency and was able to get some spectacular discounts at Disney using my IATA card. We got 50% of rack rooms during peak season as well as 50% admission! You do have to fax in a copy of your valid card as well as pay in advance, but it was worth it. I believe your choice of resort is based on occupency. We got POR for $70 p/nt and POP for $45, I believe. I also purchased my 7-day MYW plu park hopping plus waterparks and more pass for $175, I think. I don't see why airline employees would not be the same. Good luck!

For interliners, it's now 40% off, not 50%. Even though it is room only, Disney considers it a package, and you must pay in full 45 days in advance of arrival. And, you pay the package penalty if you subsequently cancel.
