Air conditioned parade globes?

I have also been curious about the confetti. We were in the parks when the floats first appeared and were run back and forth while they filmed promotional footage. The confetti was great, I can see where it must have been awful for the face characters, though. Maybe it was removed from all for consistency?

I can remember being hugged by Daisy years ago for a picture, you could just feel the heat radiating in her covered arms. I have also seen a tiny-sized person, someone I assumed was Minnie or such, walking across the park after her shift, out of costume, drenched and scroungy. I think any of the folks that do this are special indeed. What misery, especially before the days of the shorter shifts and covered, shaded character meet-and-greet areas.

When I did the KTTK tour, we were told that they were air conditioned, but couldn't be kept very cool because of condensation. I think I remember her saying something about keeping them around 80 degrees.

Well, I'm not a CM but DD is --and she rides in one of the Princess Snowglobes a LOT!!. Just finished talking to her about this and here is what she told me.

The snowglobes are kept at a very comfortable temperature. They might not be ''technically air conditioned'', but there is plenty of cold air blown in and fans to circulate it. DD says she is sometimes freezing inside the globe. Condensation can be a problem--but usually the air is controlled well enough to prevent that.

There definitely IS a panic button inside the Princess snowglobes. It's located at their feet, and they step on it if there's a problem. There are also spotters alongside the floats. They can drop down into the passageway beneath them but it's rarely necessary.

The current Princess float is definitely not new--it is from the Remember the Magic parade--and is sometimes used in the Christmas parade. Aurora and Prince Philip are on this float--they are not on the snowglobe float-- as well as Belle and Beast, Cindy and Prince Charming and Ariel and Prince Eric.

The parade stops have been eliminated--but not just because the music isn't on the current float. They could probably get that music programmed onto the substitute float if they wanted to. When the Princesses are inside the snowglobes and their music plays, there are specific movements/choreography that they do that goes along with what the bridesmaids etc are doing on the ground for the parade stop--getting the children, waving etc etc etc There is NOT enough room to do that choregraphy on the current Princess float--all they can do is stand and wave--so they just eliminated the parade stops.

Hope this answers some questions.
