Afternoon only HS help RnR or TSMM

I will be going to HS for only the afternoon-night (Saturday, October, 2pm-7:30 fantasmic as of now).

Normally TSMM would always get my FP choice, but with the new track has that changed? Is a FP more necessary for RNR now? And is the wait shorter for TSMM?

We will not do single rider line, its my DBF and my first time in the world together so we're not going to be separating (especially as HS will be our first day!)

Thanks in advance for your opinions and help!

We were able to get additional FPs for both RnR and TSMM in July. I think the additional track has helped TS a little, but it always seemed like one was down.

If you book your 2 Tier 2s for the morning and allow the FPs to expire, as soon as you enter the FP line for your Tier 1, go on the app and use the "+" to add on another Tier 1.

Both rides have been showing availability throughout the day so you have a good chance for a 2nd Tier 1 as your 4th FP of the day.

Thanks but I plan on using my Tier 2s for Star Tours and ToT. So i really just need to decide between RnR and TS.

I was having the same dilemma and did some research to learn that many suggest using the tier 1 for RnR since those waits are likely to be longer and with the additional TSMM track folks have been seeing same day fast passes become available for that. I ended up avoiding the dilemma by switching that half day to an epcot day and saving HS for a day when i can get there at RD and get either or both TSMM and RnR done. Good luck!

I think if nothing else with the third track that there will be more TSMM FPs available than RNR. I'd book the RNR in advance and if the standby line is ridiculous if you book from 1:15-2:15, 2:15-3:15 and 3:15-4:15 by 3:15 you should be able to check for that 4th TSMM FP on your app. if you can't get it you know you will need to go standby.

Thanks! I think i may have to wait for a 2pm start for the first FP. We'll be coming from an 8am AK opening and staying until about 12. I'd rather be safe than miss a FP for a ride I want to go on.

I would pick RNR also. I have been keeping an eye on the app lately and RNR seems to have a longer wait the TSMM lately.

Thanks! That's what I've been noticing on the TP app too. I just hope it stays that way for October and they don't close the 3rd track for the "slow" season!
