Advice on May, June

Hi...
I'm in need of advice concerning a trip in May or June. We usually go in Jan/Feb, Sept or Dec. We have been in May & used to have good luck with crowds but 2 years ago found it to be very crowded at that time.

We'd like to take some family who have not been in a while & need to recommend some good dates. I'm interested in your opinion of May and early June. How are the crowds? I know it will be hot but how do crowds at these times compare with Jan./Feb. or Sept.? We're spoiled! Thanks in advance!

Hi Candi,

We have found May---especially early to mid May--quite manageable. But if you're comparing it to the true offseasons (Jan, early Feb, and Sept) it will seem crowded!

June is much more crowded than May because schools are starting to get out for the summer, and more schools are out each week. Summer crowds start building Memorial Day weekend and grow larger each week until July 4. So I think if you feel May was crowded, you will find June unbearable!
