Advice for seating arrangment on plane

I've done this many times. DH and our toddler sat together and I sat across the row with the baby. I also always make a point to avoid bulkhead when travelling with the children. There's no where to put toys for the kids, snacks etc. No easily accessible tray for colouring, laying snacks on. Also, I'm not sure how it works for tvs that are generally on the back of the seat in front of you ... can you see them in bulkhead?
