Adventures of the "Moms" Panel

I wonder if the something new could be the new Tinkerbell and Fairies character meet and greet. I think I read here this is being set up in the tear drop (new description to me) area around the corner to the left at the end of the Toontown area. I am wondering this because they say "never seen" and the "fall". I think that DVD is coming out in the fall and I don't know if it has been seen by anyone yet. This Tink meet and greet sounds wonderful, I read that they will be "shrinking" the guests who enter so they are Fairy sized.

That sounds fun! I think that will be a neat experience for the kids!

I've read through most of the links and I haven't seen a mention of Leanne, Duncan or Amy. However, I did catch these two names: Michelle and Joyce. There was a Michelle involved with the interviews on the final round - not sure if it's the same Michelle though.

As far as how this came up....Kim mentioned she and Darcie were going to Disney this weekend for a Mom's blogging event. I asked Kim to post any coverage links she knew of when she got back. In the meantime, our DISGeek...aka Scoopy...found a ton of links referring to the Mom's Blog event. Looks like they are all staying at the Beach Club. And that's where we are now.

So, some of the bloggers were on this thread? That's really neat, and yes, ITA that was a lot of information to read this morning when I couldn't sleep!!!

I'm a little confused. When did all this Mommy blogger stuff come up? To be honest, most of my time "reading" is done on these boards, not blogs.

Just clicking on some of the links posted above, I am amazed at the blogs and websites these Moms do! Wow, it's really like journaling for the whole world to read.

What does anyone know about this Mommy Blogger Mixer? Was this anything anyone had heard of? Seems like it just came out of the blue, and reading some of their entries, it's amazing that some of them have never even been to Florida or Disney World.

Seems amazing to me that Disney picked up on these Mommy bloggers and is seeking their input too.

Kim mentioned that she and Darcie were going to travel to Disney for a special Mommy Blogger function, so I did a little digging and posted what I discovered.

'Looks like one of the bloggers (Musings of a Housewife) spent some time with Darcie yesterday. (See photos of Darcie with bloggers.)

As for Disney CMs, another one of the bloggers (Erin from Manic Mommies) dropped the names Michelle and Joyce. Maria Bailey (CEO and Co-Founder of BlueSuitMom.com) helped organize the trip in tandem with the Disney folks.

It sounds like moms -- and mommy bloggers -- are a pretty influential demographic with marketers.
So, the next time we're feeling under-appreciated, we should remember that moms are major decision-makers.

Yes, that is the same Michelle.

Joyce is one of Disney's travel planners.

Both are extremely nice people (of course - it's Disney! )

I unfortunately didn't see Kim and/or Darcie this weekend, so I'm in the dark about the weekend activities they had. Interesting research findings here, though - good detective work!!

You see Bret, not only do we have detectives but we also have professional interrogators You ladies are too quick on your feet. I'm still thinking what we are going to have with our chicken. Bret I do hope you had a good time. I won't be back until Sept. for the challenge. Unless I a get an invitaion from someone at Disney......(I don't see that happening)

Hi all. I will give a more detailed account of the magical weekend when I can. For now, here's a glimpse at our itinerary. I had a wonderful time seeing Darcie again but unfortunately we missed Bret due to our jam packed schedule. Even when the itinerary notes free time...well, it wasn't so free. But no complaints as it was a wonderful weekend. I was so busy that I would be calling my dh around midnight after returning to the room. Despite having my cell phone with me, I never had time to place calls any earlier! There were many highlights, including re-connecting with the wonderful Cast Members. I am truly living the Year of a Million Dreams!
