144 pages of adventures! I am finally caught up!:surfweb:

Hope everyone running this weekend is having fun and will post some reports soon!:yay:

I need something else to read while I'm waiting for news...:hyper2:

This board seems to have a lot of knowledgeable (sp?) DISers and I was hoping to get some reviews of books I have recently ordered. I wanted to brush up on some fun facts, trivia, etc before our trip in January. Some of them are the new 2009 books but I wanted to get you all's opinion on them if you have one??

PassPorter's Treasure Hunts at Walt Disney World (PassPorter)

The Walt Disney World Trivia Book: Secrets, History & Fun Facts Behind the Magic

Hidden Mickeys, 3rd Edition: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World's Best-Kept Secrets (Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World's Best Kept Se

The Walt Disney World Trivia Book, Volume 2: More Secrets, History & Fun Facts Behind the Magic

01 Things You Never Knew About Walt Disney World: An Unauthorized Look at Tributes, Little Touches, And Inside Jokes

The Unofficial Guide Walt Disney World 2009 (Unofficial Guides)

Walt Disney World 2009 (Birnbaum's Walt Disney World)

I love the Unofficial Guide. I recommend it to everyone. Also, it gives you acccess to the crowd calender online, which I've found to be extremely accurate.

The Mom's Panel looks to be having an awesome time at the Halloween Party! Oh How I Wish I Were There!

It looks like so much fun, and I just love that Leanne is just as excited as they are! What a great group they must be together!:grouphug:

Thanks for the alert, Kathie! It does look like they are having fun! Love the pics...especially of Erin and Bret in their costumes! Bret, you may have found the perfect job for you once you graduate from the Moms Panel! :) I know I'd be first in line to ride your cruise! :cool1:

Thanks for the head's up! I have been checking her blog periodically but I was at my son's soccer game this morning and it was great to come home and see the fun they had! I hope she posts more about the EEC! I also can't wait to hear everyone elses stories about it, too. What fun!

More happy waiting to everyone!:flower3:

Oh, I loved their costumes, too! What a clever idea, Erin! :thumbsup2

I bet Brigitta is feeling a little lonely right now...Bret and Erin should have sent her our why...we could help keep her company! :)

I do hope the others from this thread are also having a good time. I'm sure Scoopy (and others) will have lots to tell when she gets back!

Looks like a great time was had that the Halloween party.:thumbsup2

I just checked the weather in Orlando and it said that the temperature there is 84 with 49% humidity. That is not the nice and cool nighttime temperature that I have been wishing for all of the EECers to enjoy. At least the humidity is low! I am looking forward to hearing all about it!

The pictures from the MNSSHP that were on Leanne's blog are great! I love the costumes! I am voting for Mickey for sure!!!

It was a HOT one today. No cloud cover, beaming sun and what was probably mid-high 80's felt like 100. I am a Florida girl and don't burn easily, so I don't usually wear sunscreen. Today, I wish I had. The late afternoon got a little nicer with a breeze, but I am glad to be home and out of the sun.

Oh, I forgot one thing. Someone asked about guide books. My favorite one was not listed, so I thought I'd mention it. It's called The Complete Walt Disney World by Julie Neal. It's filled with fabulous pictures, but more importantly, tons of the background information that a Disney Dork like me loves to read!!! :goodvibes

Thank you. I didn't see that one and am going to go look for it now. I can still add to my order...LOL.

If anyone is interested, I posted a TR on our day at F&W today. It was our first time and we enjoyed thoroughly. Probably not so smart of locals to try and venture out the day after the event starts. We could have avoided a LOT of crowds if we went midweek, but I just couldn't wait. Here's the link to pics of $100 worth of food and drink - http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1966694

Great trip report. :thumbsup2 It looks like you had a lot of fun at Epcot eating your way around the world. I hear that the maple syrup in Canada helps wash all of the food of world down. :rotfl:

Your son is adorable! He looks like he really enjoyed meeting Donald! (and the chocolate creme brulee!)

Thanks for the link and pics. I felt like I was right there with you guys. Most of it sounded so yummy:thumbsup2

I really want to do it one year, just DH and me!

Hope you are feeling better:sick:

It's the morning after F&W and I am back to my old self. Breakfast of champions, iced coffee and spaghetti! And little man takes after his mama - he is having oatmeal and spaghetti...Thank God for pepto!

I didn't realize they had to complete an obstacle course also! Looks like they had a blast! Also glad to see they were walking at the end...not sure I could make 3.1 miles running the entire time!

Look forward to hearing more from our friends. Very happy Leanne has been blogging to keep us updated. :thumbsup2

Is there any way to subscribe to Leanne's blog? It's such a pain to have to keep checking back in.

But, I can't find an RSS to click on....I'd love to be able to just subscribe to her new posts!

We were at Epcot Friday night and at the Port on Saturday! Looks like you guys had fun in your part of THE WORLD! :thumbsup2
