Looking for some restaurant recommendations for Adult night out (Party of 4). We would prefer to have a quieter restaurant where we can have a conversation. We will be dropping the kids off at the Neverland Club at the Poly. We will have a car, but are not opposed to taking the Monorail to EPCOT using our Park Hopper passes. We would like to be able to walk around after dinner and maybe do some shopping...I am assuming this would mean either EPCOT, Boardwalk or Downtown Disney...or other?

Moderate to high priced, seafood OK, Spicy food not OK, great service a must...

Any thoughts appreciated....

JB

How about Shula's? We did our adult dinner there in August. You can get two hours free child care at Camp Dolphin (included free meal for the kids).

The food was great and the atmosphere was what you are looking for.

Cape May Buffet is very nice if you like seafood.

Fulton's Crab House at DD (we ate our first dinner of our honeymoon there). Also Narcoossee's at GF.

"Quieter" is the operative word, and hard to find at WDW!!!
In my experience the most quiet adult friendly spots at WDW are Palio at the Swan, Shula's at the Dolphin, and Citrico's at the Grand Floridian.
Blue Zoo COULD be such a spot also, except if there any conventions at the Swan/Dolphin, the place might be aswarm with boisterous, loud, tables of 8-10-12 diners--as it was when we ate there last trip. Absent that, it is probably relatively child free and adult friendly.

Uncleromulus, named off three of my favorites also. If you're looking for steak Shula's is the place to go. I also like Citricos a lot but not really any shopping afterwards unless you want to hotel hope from the GF to the CR and then back to the Poly to pick up the kids. Maine :firefight

For quiet and adult only your two most likely locations are Victoria and Albert's in the Grand Floridian (but jackets are required and ties recommended) or Bistro de Paris in the French Pavilion at Epcot.

We always enjoy a night up in the California Grill as we have always had wonderful service and love their wine selection. It sometimes is a little noisy in the main room, but the side dining room if available is very quiet. We also like having the wonderful view from the balcony for Wishes and then returning for dessert (for to go to the elevators right after wishes is not a good idea-traffic jam)

How about Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge? We've found this place to be on the quiet side since the louder crowd tends to go to Wispering Canyon there.

Couldn't resist posting back to someone so close to home...

I would second the CA Grill response, especially the side room. You just can't beat the view...

If you are feeling kind of crazy and decide to go for noisy, I've read that the new Raglin Road Irish Pub is opening in DTD in October - looks like that could be a LOT of fun!!

Definitely BlueZoo, Palio or Shula's. Any restaurants at EPCOT are going to have kids - not that the Swan/Dolphin restauruants won't, but the atmosphere is decidedly more adult. We had fabulous food with no interuptions and very few children. We also ate at Le Cellier and the tables are too close together to have any kind of converstaion - especially if you get between two tables with kids. The service at the Disney restaurants is also rather quick - they need to move you out for the next reservation. At the Swan/Dolphin the service was fantastic. Like a real restaurant - not a theme park restaurant.

After dinner at either the Swan or Dolphin, you can head over to the Boardwalk for a little shopping/ people watching and go to Jellyrolls for a really great evening. You could eat at one of the Boardwalk restaurants, but I was there pretty late one evening last week and many kids were still going in for meals. I have nothing against kids (have 3 myself), but occasionally (and especially when I am paying pretty big bucks for a meal) I like to be an adult and not listen to the little darlings all through dinner.

Have a great adults night out!!

I would suggest going to The Outback Restaurant ( this is *NOT* the steakhouse chain!! ) Its a wonderful upscale restsurant in the Wyndham Palace Hotel, which is right across the street from the bus depot at downtown disney. We make it a point to go here ever year. The food is amazing and the atmosphere just cant be beat.

also, i dont remember ever seeing one child there. But then agian, the food isnt kid friendly AT ALL.

The Brown Derby at MGM was classy and subdued. Not noisy at all. Good food also. We enjoyed it here very much. Art Deco shops were fun to go through afterward.

For me it would be LeCellier... it is dark and quiet inside... well it was in July last year!! Of course dh and I are definately steak and potatoes people!! :flower:
