Thanks Mandy!!! I'd love to know what people got... it helps me know what i should expect money wise and if nothing else it feeds my sweets addiction

OK so i'm kind of re-evaluating my views on randy. i'm slightly worried about how my pictures are going to come out. So i emailed randy back about the DP and asked him if he could send me some examples of SCP DP pictures he's taken. If i dont like them then i think i might hire another photographer for the DP. Only because i know that photographing fireworks is challenging and sometimes does require alot of editing. I have to say that i'm slightly worried about having a morning wedding because of lighting. I dont mean to worry but its our wedding pictures... i never get to see DF dressed up and i want to capture it.

Anyway we'll see... i'll keep you girls posted.

I know there is a bride who recently posted on here who had Wishes shots done by Randy on the Grand I which is kind of similar to the view from SCP. I'll see if she might be able to post some on your thread. I don't remember her screen name on this board.

I'm with you about seeing the figmentfan and not knowing I didn't post. I was the only figmentfan for so long the first time I saw your postings it threw me for a loop, lol

Thank you for posting on the randy thread by the way... i just looked at them again and i feel better now I really do hope that Mandy's pictures were just a really bad fluke or something. with all the good things i've heard about him i dont want to think badly of him. i really wish i could meet him before the wedding but that just isn't possible sadly.

Hi, Vanessa tells me that you are a little nervous about having Randy photograph your DP at Sago Cay Point so I thought I might be able to help.

Randy was our photographer for our VR in April this year and I couldn't be happier with my pictures. DH and I did meet with Randy about six months before our VR just to chat and make sure we were all on the same page regarding the type of shots we wanted etc. I also emailed him some examples of photos I liked so that he could be sure to get those shots for me too. I think it's essential for you to make sure that you let him know what type of shots you want, whether you want photoshopping, b&w etc.

We had a Wishes Cruise on the Grand 1 and Randy took some great shots of the fireworks for us. Our cruise lasted for two hours, from 9pm until 11pm (Wishes was at 10pm), and we got a lot of photos lol. I'll just post a few of them, pm me if you want any other info.

Oh WOW!!!! Those are lovely! I remember seeing some of your pictures on other threads and thinking how beautiful your VR was! Thank you so much for posting these for me. I'm definatly going to be PMing you for more if you dont mind.

I also have to ask.... i dont want to offend randy in anyway... i'm a firm believer in "you attract more bees with honey than you do with vinegar" and working as a medical secretary i know what its like working with nasty/pushy people. How did you let Randy know what you wanted.. but nicely? I dont want to be that mean bride that all her vendors hate by the end of the wedding day

Randy is very easy to get along with. When we met him I told him that I admired his work and had seen quite a few pics from other brides that I really liked. He was interested to know which ones so I said that I would email my favorites to him. For example, I had seen pics that another bride had taken at the monorail station at the GF and I really wanted some shots there. He made sure we went to the station and got those pics. He also asked the monorail driver if we could take pics in the front, where the driver sits, and he said yes! So I have pics of my DH and I sitting in the front and also in the drivers seat! I was thrilled!

Very cool!!! DF and I were just talking about how since we'll be having the DP at SCP we can get pics near the WP, GF lobby, AND the monorail! Yea, i'm definatly going to reference some brides on here. I'll just keep the lines of communitcation open with him.

Oh and I meant to ask... how did you get to the GF for the DP? Do VR's get the 4 hour limo included in their wedding package? and if you do did you get to use it to transport everyone to the DP?

Yes, VRs are treated exactly like weddings. I got the four hour limo included, my ceremony was at 2.30pm, my limo started at 1.30pm and finished at 5.30pm. I had twelve guests plus DH and I, and we were all staying at the Beach Club Villas. The limo holds 8 so it made two trips to get us all round to the Boardwalk. When the ceremony and cake cutting was over, the limo took us over to the GF to get photos there and then took us back to the Yacht Club for our dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse at 5.30pm.

Oh this is good to know! If it was up to me we'd just take a disney bus over to MK and then the monorail over to GF but DF thinks that'll be alittle odd in our wedding outfits. We'll have to look into our options for transporting guests from AKV to GF.

Just catching up Katie and I love the navy suit! That will look awesome with fuschia flowers! Kevin and I didn't like the idea of traditional tuxes either that's why we went with the tan. All the groosmen were thankful as they were so much more comfortable in the heat! Kevin was the only one who wore the vest just to make him stand out a bit more. Can't wait to hear more!

Thanks heather! I showed DF the tan suit and he wasn't a big fan... he thinks he's too pastey to wear it... hahaha. I told him to go tanning but yea that isn't going to happen. BOYS!

Anyway i do love the navy blue. I dont know how to make DF stand out though... What color vests should i do for the guys and DF?

Since we've been talking about the men's attire and the BM's dresses I figured we'd discuss my gown a little bit.

If you didn't know about my gown let me refresh... I bought my gown on ebay (yes ebay) for 300$. Its brand new with the tags on it but its a size 12... i'm a size 7 is regular clothes and i tried on dresses at DB in sizes 8 and 10. (why do they have to make dresses a size or two smaller?! ) Anyway so it obviously needs to be altered. I love how my dress looks but other than putting it on myself with it hanging off of me i dont really know what i look like in it. I'm slightly afriad that i'll wait to get it altered and not like it. Here are the only pictures i have of me in it.

And this is what happens when i do hold it up... theres a large gap between me and the dress.


This is what it is supposed to look like and i dont think it looks like this on me. I just keep hoping that it'll look right once it gets altered. but how soon can i get it altered? i've never had to have anything altered before so i dont know when or how to go about it. Any suggestions? I mean clearly i donyt have a long torso like the model does so is the dress going to fall funny on me?

Oh and another thing that is confusing me is my hair... but we'll get to that later
