? about Monorail / Walking from MK to Contemporary

How long does it take to either walk or ride the monorail from the MK to the CR? How frequently does the monorail run?

The reason I am asking is we have a 10:50 ADR at Chef Mickeys on July 5th and I want to make sure and leave the MK on time for our ADR.

Monorails run every 5 to 10 minutes and from the MK it's a very short ride to CR the walk probably(I have never done it)takes about 10 to 15 min depending how tired your feet are from walking around MK. You can always look as you leave to see if a monorail is on its way to the station and decide from there. Either way I guess about 20 min would do it.

i've never done it, but I imagine the FASTEST way from MK to Contemporary is to hoof it. Sure, the actual ride on the monorail would be quicker, but I think that advantage gets eaten up by waiting time, waiting for the next monorail.

I would think at a normal walking pace, from outside the MK entrance to Contemporary is just under 10 minutes. You can see it, it's not far, but I think if I said 5 minutes (which I realy want to say) that'll be underestimating a bit.

Any MK-CR walking vets out there with a 'real" answer?

It really is only about a 5 minute walk and there is a nice paved path to follow. Given the time it takes to walk up to the monorail, wait for the monorail, ride the monorail, unload and walk down the stairs at CR, the walking path from MK would be quicker...of course, this is all weather dependent.

Perfect answer!!!! I don't think we took the monorail one single time from MK to CR, and vice versa, when we stayed at the CR. If you add up the walk time to the monorail loading area, the wait, and then the 5 minutes(maybe a bit less) time to get to CR, then you really can get there faster if you walk. It's very pleasant, well lit, and safe.
