ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

Well, the next time you use weired gramatically terms, please remember your foreign language speakers!! ;) Never had heard of a proper noun, we just call that a name in German...

I will send new PM...

Yes, in our original England, proper would mean correct, wouldn't it?

You do too! I put several of them in responses. :wizard:

Oh dear, I fear that would involve far more brain cells than I have. While I've ideas....none are "I" ish. At all. And far be it for me to compete with those that have done 3 hours of research. :scared1:

Yes, I think that's the trap I fell into... I just thought that she used "proper" to emphasise that it had to be a noun. Like in a phrase like that: "I need some proper tea, not a fancy herbal infusion." :confused3

But then I realized that Liesa had a disclaimer about PMing her if you don't know what a proper noun is. I just never realized that a proper noun is something different from a noun...

i know it's still early for you so I'm just going to have some :surfweb: and popcorn:: while I wait for you to post the "I" answer.

I (hey, that's pretty cool that I just started my day off that.) have an insane day ahead of me-

I have to go to Portland (3 days in a row! :faint:) for a doc. appt. for Zachy and lunch with LeeAnn (remember her? The third gal on our trip) then back here for shopping and play rehearsal for the girls. Somewhere in there I have to sneak in getting our dresses in for getting prof. button holes put in, and of course, Andrew came home last night. We got home at about 1:00 AM, so am already running on fumes. (Yes, I know I just opened myself up there... but I"m too tired to worry about that.)

So, here's my planoid: I will take Bek to the bus stop now, work on I when I get home before I go to Portland. So, you'll get your answer in about an hour. Does that make everyone happy??

YES!!!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

What a bunch of fun banter I missed over the weekend! Can't wait to hear the real answer to I. I now have no idea if I got it right or not!

Glad Andrew is home and good luck with your crazy day!

Time to finally reveal what you’ve all been dying to know the last couple of days. This one really took me by surprise. I thought it would be a pretty easy one, if you knew where the picture was in the first place- which was right near the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. If you chose to use Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost or Indiana Jones Gift Truck as your main answer, that would have been correct too.

Almost everyone got that part right. A few of you were in the wrong park altogether; this was The Studios not Animal Kingdom. The 2nd part is what surprised me. At first I really had to think a bit on what could possibly start with “I” nearby, but after a bit of poking around, I found several. Only 1 each of you guessed the harder ones such as: It’s a Wonderful Shop (the Christmas shop with the snowman) (GREAT job, Glenn!) and Imogene Coca, an American comedy star who “was best known to play opposite Sid Ceasar”- whose handprints are in front of GMR). If you google her, you may find that the character Edna Mose resembles her. ;) (GREAT job, Jenb1023- you had one up on me there!!!) But my first thought when putting the Letter up was the Incredibles who you can meet over in Animation. Yes, I know that American Idol doesn’t start with “I”, but I went ahead and accepted that one too, as many of you chose that for your answer. I also gave points for anyone who used Itzakadoozie, which is a popsicle like thingy sold all over the parks. (There were several of those too). No one guessed “In Character” – the shop inside the Animation Pavilion.

One website that might be useful to you as you plan your trips (and play the game) is the Steve Soares site at: http://wdwent.com/ I really used his stuff a lot in planning for the entertainment and characters I wanted to try to see, and he also lists all the parades times, park hours, fireworks, and greet times and places. It was SO helpful!! Also, Disney’s own official site helped with this round.

So, here are where the points stand as of today. As you can see, it’s still anyone’s game, and there are 3 round left in this part of the game!! So, hopefully, in a day or so- maybe even tonight when the girls are at play practice, I’ll get letter “J” up. The possibilities are very few for this one, so I hope it’s easier (to both find AND guess!). Thanks for playing- and I hope you’re learning a lot, I KNOW I am!

Ok, you are right, I should have been able to figure that out. I had the right park but not enough brain cells to think further than that.

I was standing right in front of it yesterday and found what she took the picture of but couldn't figure out the "I" proper noun and I looked all over!!!!!

Woo-hoo! 6 points!

Thanks for the shout-out on Imogene Coca! I was trying to stick really close to Indy which is why I did American Idol first. Then I was convinced it was one of the bronze busts but do you think I could find a list of who was on those anywhere on the web. So, since it was a proper noun, I thought of famous people with "I" names that might be featured at Disney and came up with her and sure enough her handprints are there. So, if anyone has or can find a list of who has a bronze bust there I would love to know.

Looking forward to J!
