AAA Lounge?

I was reading in a recent AAA magazine that there is a AAA Lonuge. Has anyone heard of this? Also, is there one in each park? Are the for all members of a AAA family? It also said you could get discounts on meals up to 20 percent but gave no details. Normally I would just ask the local AAA office, but I find them lacking in any information beyond rental cars and travelers checks. Thanks to anyone with info.

I think you have to book a vacation package from AAA to use the AAA lounge. We booked through them a couple of years ago and they give you a coupon for a free soda. I forgot to use it!! The only AAA lounge is in the MK.

I don't think you can get a soda without this coupon but maybe you can still go in the lounge as a AAA member. I'm not sure on this.

I am still a AAA member so I would love to hear about any restaurant discounts at WDW.

My inlaws booked with AAA this spring, and the voucher at the lounge was for a free soda only. It was good for the entire travel party. I believe the lounge is in Tomorrowland, and they had it marked on a map AAA provided. They also had preferred seating for Wishes and Illuminations marked on the map as well, but we didn't take advantage of thay. The only meal discounts they had were for some restaurants in Downtown Disney such as Planet Hollywood. You get a couple of trading pins. Access to the AAA lot at MK if you are driving. I wished they had more food discounts, but it's better than nothing. Hope this helps.

jmcross is correct. The lounge isn't for general use by AAA members... only people that have purchased AAA vacation packages.

When I paid for the balance of our AAA package, I asked specifically if we could use the lounge anytime, not just when presenting the voucher for the freebie drink. Answer back from AAA was YES. Can anyone confirm this is indeed the case? I'm hoping this gives us another option for getting out of a storm or taking a break from the heat.....
