AAA Diamond Parking Pass

If you were driving down, couldn't you just find an AAA office in a state that gives them away? Stop and get it on the way.

Not sure if that would work since each state is independently owned and its not your office.

It would definitely be a big deal to the legitimate AAA pass holders who cannot park in the lot because you are already there with your fraudulent pass. Way to brag about your dishonesty over and over again...

I called our AAA in here in PA and asked if I could get a diamond parking pass. They said only with their packages. I explained that we did the YES program and couldn't get their packages with that. They didn't care

It would definitely be a big deal to the legitimate AAA pass holders who cannot park in the lot because you are already there with your fraudulent pass. Way to brag about your dishonesty over and over again...

Of all the days we were there, I never saw the AAA spots filled up. I think you all are really making too big a deal out of this.

Whenever we have used the diamond parking, I thought it was terrible. The parking lot trams don't stop anywhere near there (now I'm thinking of the transportation and ticket center), and you may end up walking farther than if you were just in the regular lot.
At the Studios, it was really bad, and we had to walk far.
I, personally don't think I'd use it again.

Of all the days we were there, I never saw the AAA spots filled up. I think you all are really making too big a deal out of this.

1. I have seen the AAA filled up. Interesting to think there's a good chance it's due to unethical, selfish thieves.

2. You can't make 'too big a deal' out of theft, unless you're talking about a 4 year old lifting a chocolate bar. Adults who steal for their personal gain and at the expense of others are contemptible, no matter how trivial the stolen property might be.

Even if they weren't stolen by an employee, the contract you enter into with AAA clearly states that you cannot transfer the pass ( let alone make a profit off it).

A person who knowingly buys stolen goods is just as much of a thief as the person who sells them.

Disney didn't make me sign mine when I had one a few years ago, so they could be used and unsigned. Maybe people didn't say they got them with a package, but that doesn't mean they weren't gotten that way or just by a AAA customer going in and asking. Seems like some offices give them out to any AAA member. I doubt a AAA employee would risk their job to make a few bucks. And if that were the case, one ebay member would have lots of auctions for parking passes. Is that the case?

I guess my point is why is Ebay allowing stolen goods, if from an employee, or members, breach of contract has no legal right to sell .

I though they were pretty strict even for small amount items and particularly for items clearly marked non transferable, void if sold.

The sellers don't even do the "You are not bidding on a AAA parking pass but a plain white envelope. We are including the AAA pass only for collector value." or some sort of other weasel words.

I'll do a little more research but yes its seems like some sellers have more than one at a time.

I want to say that we loved the AAA parking. (We booked our package through AAA.) We went last year with three year old triplets so we had two strollers. We drove to all of the parks . Our first day, didn't use the AAA parking lot at DHS and loading and unloading three little kids, two strollers and our bags on and off of the tram was a nightmare. We used AAA parking after that and loved it. We would load the kids up into the strollers and walk right in. We didn't even find it to be that much of an inconvenience at MK - I didn't think the walk to the ferry was very far.

It may depend on your situation but we found with young kids, it was definitely a convenience.

I'm not a AAA member -- not anymore anyway since GEICO charges me something like $15/yr for the same or better roadside service. Anyway, I went into my local AAA, purchased tickets from them for my upcoming trip (never asked for a membership card). I inquired about the Diamond passes and the agent reached into her drawer and handed me one. No name or date on it at all... kind of funny that they aren't following the rules.

Its not that they don't care, it may be that they don't have them to give out. Apparently, some AAA offices have a stock of them to give to members. But other offices (such as my office), they only come attached to the package documents Disney sends out.

I can see why it's not a big deal to you, you're using a service you did not get legitimately. What's both amazing and sad at the same time is how you continue to come back again and again and not only defend your behavior, but tell us how you'd happily do it again.
