AAA Diamond Parking Pass

At least there's hope for his offspring...

I mean Mowgli was raised by animals and turned out just fine.
That is not the nicest thing you could have said.

I realize the idea of people using second-hand parking passes is driving some of you to distraction, but maybe you should just walk away.

The name-calling is childish and mean.

It's certainly not the meanest thing I could have said either. It just drives me batty when someone (anyone) continuously says "I stole, and it felt good, and I'll do it again because it's what's best for my family".

The kids aren't stealing, and it's a parking pass, not an apple.

Plus there's the whole part where talking about bucking the system is prohibited on the DIS, and that poster keeps talking about how he's proud of doing it.

How much meaner could you get? I mean, referring to people as "animals"...I suppose you could call people worse things...I just don't know what.

Hopefully beginning next year Disney will only print the passes with dates on them like my pass for this trip. That will solve the problem.

I think that may create another problem with the parking pass. Let's say I am of the type that buys my future park passes when I have saved money for them. I go to my AAA office, purchase my passes and I also receive my AAA Diamond Parking Pass.

Now, I may or may not already have a trip booked for a specific time. If I do not have a date to travel yet determined, how is my parking pass going to be printed with a date?

I think the few bad apples are always going to exist and abuse perks like these. But thankfully, they are only a few.

I'm not sure that it is against the DIS rules to buy a parking pass from someone who bought it somewhere else. It might be, though.

But the fact that he may have broken a DIS rule doesn't mean it's okay for you to say such mean things.

I don't mean to talk to you like you're a kid. Just reminders of things we all know but forget when we're upset.

If you want to make the point that you think X poster isn't a good person, say that. The name-calling kinda negates your statements. You can't be rolling in the mud and up on the high horse at the same time.

Just food for thought there.

Or.... maybe the person who continually brags about stealing services should just walk away. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it against DIS rules to talk about how to cheat, steal, and break rules?

But what if the high horse is the one rolling in the mud, because I got off to refill my mug from 1998 while pool hopping? :lmao:

I don't know if the buying a parking pass on ebay qualifies or not. I don't run the place.

I do seem to recall that name-calling is not allowed, though.

So, are you a big rule follower or do you only care about following the rules you like?

It seems like you're BIG with the rule following...and yet big with the rule breaking. :confused3

Can't be lambasting one guy for rule-breaking and breaking rules at the same times, can you? Well, I guess you can. You both did.

But it seems hypocritical, doesn't it?

Ok, let's address you first sentence first. The AAA Diamond parking passes have the words "non transferable" on them. That's a fact. Don't believe me, check into it yourself. Now, once you establish that, are you aware of what "non transferable" means? It means that once the pass leaves the possession of the person it was originally issued to, it becomes invalid. Assuming we can agree on that point, the poster in question first said that he didn't know the passes he received were non transferable. Then he has said repeatedly that now that he knows he'd still happily do it again. What exactly isn't clear about the rule breaking there?

And please go back and find the quote where I personally called that poster names. I said he was being dishonest, because quite frankly, the actions he continues to brag about are dishonest.

I really wasn't going to post yet again but I just wanted to ask where was I "bragging" at all in my posts? I said I would do it again, I never bragged about the close parking or anything like that. I've stated that I have ONE time purchased the passes off of Ebay.

If this isn't allowed on disboards, then why has this lasted to 7 pages? I'm not insulting anyone in my posts. I simply have stated what I have done in the past and my opinion on the subject. I don't think it warrants anyone to say the things that have been said about me or my family.

You are obviously the perfect citizen. I'm sure you've never gone a mile over the speed limit or done anything against the rules/laws. Great job! :worship:

Also, I'm a girl, not a man. Thank you & have a wonderful day :goodvibes

It's not invalid. It can still be used. If I steal money from the grocer, I can still spend it. It's stolen money, but it isn't invalid.

However, I don't know if it is against DIS policy. People on here frequently talk about mailing or passing these things to each other. That's transferring too, it just isn't profitable.

So, I don't know. It may or may not be agaist the DIS rules.

But name-calling certainly is. And calling someone an animal is about as bad as name-calling gets.

I actually have more respect for the girl who said she'd do it again (use the parking pass) than I do for the poster who called her an animal (breaking a rule) and then blamed his/her mean comment on the fact that the Future Unethical Parker drove her to it.

You follow the rules or you don't. If you don't, say so. Don't make up stupid reasons why it's okay for you to not follow them. And don't sit around pointing fingers at other people who break other rules.

Glass houses and all that.

You continually posted about stealing services that you are not entitled to. That is by definition a dishonest act. You have even said that now that you know the passes are non transferable, you'd still do it again. Again, that sure sounds like bragging about dishonesty to me. FYI, just because you add lots of little smiley symbols at the end of your posts, doesn't white wash the content.

I am definitely not the perfect citizen and make more than my fair share of mistakes. Knowingly stealing a service, and readily admitting that you'd do it again is not a mistake, it's an intentional act.

Ummm, discussing any ways around stated policy, be it Disney policy or another entity's policy is expressly forbidden. The DIS is not the place to discuss illegal ways to do stuff in WDW.

I don't think anyone said anyone else was an animal. They made a comparison..but didn't call anyone an animal.

It is against AAA policy to sell or transfer a parking pass...period. If you buy it online at eBay, you're going against AAA policy. If you sell one on eBay...again, against policy. What is so difficult to understand about this??? Seems to me that those that want these 'second hand' parking permits are constantly trying to justify their actions. And there is no justification. The parking permits say, right on them...not for sale, non-transferable. Period.

If this were the transportation board, this thread would have been shut down long ago. But since I have no power here..kind of like the wicked witch of the west....I can't do diddly about it.

Well, you do continue to come back and tell us all that you will continue on with your policy breaking ways. This thread is being reported to the appropriate people.

We purchased one off of Ebay for our trip in May. We did rope drop every morning and yeah, regular parking is actually closer if you're there that early. One day we left and came back to the parks later and then it came in handy but that was it. The nice thing was reselling it when we got home to get our money back. Next time my MIL is coming along and she's a AAA member so I think we'll take advantage of the pass again.

Sorry if it bugs you but I really don't care. It doesn't bother me one bit. I did it and I would do it again. Bottom line. Have a great day

When they decide to change the way they do things, I'll roll with the punch. I'm not going to throw a stink over it. It's really NOT that big of a deal (like it seems to be to you). Till then, I guess I'm breaking the law.. "bad boys bad boys, whatcha gonna do? whatcha gonna do when they come for you?" :lmao:

Of all the days we were there, I never saw the AAA spots filled up. I think you all are really making too big a deal out of this. :confused3

The fact remains that those parking spots are only meant for AAA members who receive their passes "legitimately". You received yours "fraudulently". I can see why it's not a big deal to you, you're using a service you did not get legitimately. I'm sure it wouldn't bother you in the least if a legitimate pass holder couldn't park in the lot because you were there first with your fraudulent pass.

What's both amazing and sad at the same time is how you continue to come back again and again and not only defend your behavior, but tell us how you'd happily do it again. :sad2:

]You're correct. I would.[/B]:confused3

I think this is the issue- A wise person admits their mistake and moves on. You think it's FUNNY that you've committed fraud, and you'd do it again. You don't care that your actions DO impact others who are actually entitled to the perk by being AAA members. You don't care that you have no integrity, and you don't care that that is the example you're setting for your kids.

And, for the record, I never called you an animal. I simply inferred that if Mowgli could turn out OK being raised by animals, your kids have a chance despite the fact that they're not exactly being raised by someone with a moral compass.

If defending myself is bragging then okay. You got me. I am sorry for all the problems I have caused. I will go quietly now. It is not worth the time or feelings being hurt to discuss this issue anymore. You win.

She gets around the rules. You get around the rules. You're no better. But you are meaner. And less honest.

At least she didn't call anyone names. And she admits what she's doing.

Getting a moderator to back you up doesn't mean you didn't do it. You know it. You should apologize. You know that, too.

And you weren't inferring, you were implying...and not so subtly at that.

I didn't ask for a mod to come back me up

And I also realized that you're also one of the "who cares if they buy these off of ebay" people. You also encourage people to buy counterfeit merchandise off of ebay.

I find it funny that you call me "less honest" seeing as how you're actively promoting the purchase of counterfeit merchandise on multiple threads.
