AAA and room requests - any luck?

Hi everyone! I made my reservations through AAA and gave them my room requests, but am a little nervous. I know nothing is guaranteed, but I am nervous that the requests won't be relayed to Disney. I called Disney and I can't make requests directly to them, since I booked through AAA.

Has anyone who has booked through AAA ever had trouble with their requests? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks!

If they are in your reservation not much more you can do. Just ask again when you check in.

My AAA agent faxed (and mailed) a copy of the Disney confirmation sheet to me. It shows the confirmation #, full details of our reservation (what's included in our package), and the special requests. I would ask your agent to send you one.

My AAA confirmation also shows our package details and the fact we are requesting non-smoking and bunks. Your AAA agent will be happy to send you the confirmation, it's standard procedure.

We got everything we requested through AAA. We requested a non-smoking, king room in one of the 80s buildings at POP. We got it all! I actually think that DH only mentioned the 80s, but I said to just put the king room down, as that was more important to us. Well, they evidently still turned it in, so we were really happy!

CRO told me yesterday to call the hotel 5 days out if I want to be sure they have my correct requests.

I got the same info from my agent.

I had special need requests; so, I was even more nervous. I was able to get through to a very nice special needs CM and she took care of me. They have a way to get into all ressies; so, I got lucky. I had about 8 requests; so, I was glad I was able to do it this way ahead of time. I do find it a drag that we can't go direct to Disney for requests even if we are booking through AAA.

Five days out, I'll be checking again. I want it all to go smooth at check-in.

Just realize when you think you are calling the resort you are most likely talking to the Disney call center not to someone at the resort. If you have your requests in your reservation you will be good.

If you have 8 requests for your stay I doubt that all of them would be granted.

Thank you all so much for your ideas and suggestions. I will put them all to use!

I think I'm ok on all requests; because, it is special needs. My requests include like being on the first floor, no pool area, no elevators near by, etc. and I wasn't told it wouldn't work. I will double check five days out. If I have to choose my priorities, I will, but I want to do it ahead of time.
