I am waiting too. We are looking towards the end of Nov/Beg of Dec. Where though, depends on how much we can save. I would love Wilderness Lodge, but we may do a Mod. I priced out to get a rough ball park estimate and it is hard sometimes justifying the extra money for the Lodge.

It will be our first time booking with AAA. We joined a year ago and love having it. I get a discount from work on our membership fee and we easily recoup the fee with the Gas discount card they gave us when we joined.

So - do you have book directly through AAA or just call Disney and tell them you have AAA and get a discount? I am looking at ALL my options - trying for a Deluxe and need all the help I can get!!!!!

I am waiting as well, for sept 2009,Poly. Last year I had the %40 off code, I need to get something since I need 2 rooms, (one for the parents). I loved the Poly and I really want to go back, but, without some discount I don't know if it will be possible. I can only imagine what airfare will be by the time I pick my days.

We have room only booked for January 09, and we've decided against dining this time, so no need for a package now.

I booked through AAA... can I transfer that reservation to Disney or should I just chill and keep my AAA TA?

I have always just booked through WDW itself, I know you can book just your room with AAA discount. Sorry if my question is confusing.... I am just trying to understand this AAA discount thing...

I am pretty sure that when booking a package through AAA the discount is only on the room. Hope this helps

Yeah, that's what I've heard too. But I've also heard that AAA sells tickets at a discount. SO even if they won't give you both discounts in a package, I don't see any reason why you couldn't book a room only at an AAA rate, then walk in and buy the discounted tickets.

I read that new packages and room rates for next year will be announced on Sunday, August 3. I bet that will be the same day that AAA rates will be released.

Anyone know: If I book a room for Feb 2009 using the AAA rate, but then a code comes out that is a better rate than AAA - can I simply apply the code to the existing reservation or would I have to make an entirely new reservation, cancelling the AAA one.
