A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

Oh no, MEK!

Woes with toes. :rotfl: :lmao: That cracks me up.

Wigd, I am so sorry that FES is causing so much trouble! Isn't there a boot camp for naughty FES? Maybe we should make one! :rotfl2:

I'm thinking it will be a miserable year. Marc feels that we need to stick it out with him unless he does something to get himself sent back to Germany.

I think it would be hard to have someone 24/7 for the whole school year. That's so different than just a short visit or something. At the first sign of it affecting Baylor's attitudes or behaviors, I'd be looking into sending him home. You can't have your child changed, possibly forever, by something like this. You're a teacher - you've seen what one child can do to influence and change another one, and it's usually the 'bad' influencing the 'good', for lack of better terms, unfortunately.

A pound of bacon? A whole pound of bacon??? :scared1:

This is really a worry I'm having right now, and it is tough having someone around 24/7. Privacy is a thing of the past in this house.

I did it once and never again, I had such a stomach ache!

I thought that woes with toes was amusing too!
They had a weekend retreat that was to give them the low down on life with Americans. He got in trouble for talking through the entire session for boys
when they discussed dating.... Go figure!

Hey out there! If anyone is interested in earning a $25 Disney gift card pm me. It sounds like the only thing you have to do is take a DVC tour by phone! :genie:

Oh no, MEK!

Woes with toes. :rotfl: :lmao: That cracks me up.

:rotfl:Well lets see, my toe woes all started when I wore regular leather sandals to dinner at Narcossee's on our arrival night. Silly me did not know that the self park lot at the GF is no-man's land. That was one long hike to dinner. After dinner we jumped the monorail just in time to see Wishes. But we didn't stop there. I wore those sandals all through the MK and back to the GF parking lot in East "Jabip".

The rest is history. Three miles or more in leather sandals trying to look cute for dinner did me in for the next several days. I had blisters upon blisters upon blisters. All I could think of was LL and her poor little feet.

Despite the feet, a grand time was had by all. All refering to me and DH. I hope to start posting this weekend. That is, after I finished my mountain of laundry.

I'm so sorry about your feet, I can see how that could happen though. At Disney so often it's just one more thing, then another and another.....

I decided to teach in a new pair of shoes today, (sockless). What can I say, they looked cute with the jeans. Now both heals have blisters. So that's my schpeal about my heal(s).:rotfl:

Are you starting a new report? If so please pm me when you do!
:goodvibes

Oh man, MEK. That is the worst. What we do to look cute! I wish blisters in Disney on NO ONE. It's truly an awful feeling.

I hobbled away from Dumbo to sit down and elevate my foot. I believe it was Mrs. Potts where I found a shady spot. Marc and Baylor were very upset about my little accident. Baylor was even plotting to find the person (he thought he knew just who it was) and in some way repay them for not stopping to help me. They weren't even with me when it happened but I guess he thought it must have been the people behind us at rope drop. I had no clue....

Marc pulled a frozen water bottle out of his backpack and held it on my foot....

I told them to leave me sitting and jaunt over to BTMRR to get us some fast passes. I sat and held the water bottle the best I could. I felt very self conscious sitting there all alone. Oh well, I'll never see those looky loos again! The fellows returned and next on our list was the huny pots. This was Baylor's first ride in the yellow pot and he thought it was so much fun! Come ride with us.....

After Pooh, we slowly made our way to Frontierland. It was getting hot and I was having a terrible time walking. I think I just scooted my hurt foot. I'm sure I looked quite lovely.
We ducked into Country Bears Jamboree for another sit and rest time out of the heat.

We enjoyed the show and it was great to get another "haven't done" crossed off of our list.

With our fast passes in hand we had a quick ride on the wildest ride in the wilderness then hopped the train back to the Main Street station. Thinking back to our quest for the perfect bag carrier for me the guys were wondering if the baggage cart would fit the bill?

214.jpg

I think my Vera looks just fine on that cart. Notice how well I'm balancing on one foot.

At this point I was really tired of trying to walk with those flip flops rubbing against the deep bruise that would be on my foot for days to come. So we caught a bus and cruised back to the Beach Club. Storm Along Bay was calling our name!

Up next: Trivia, craftiness and bootie shakin at the beach....

I don't think anyone understand blisters at Disney quite like you LL!:sad2:

Nope, I don't think so. I'm special like that.

I see Mary Poppins' carpet bag!! :yay:

How awful about your foot. Man oh man, I hope I'm not jinxing my DIS friends with foot problems! :scared1:

Oh yikes!

Blister bandaids are the best things ever invented. Outrageously expensive but worth every penny.

Your poor poor foot! My kids step on the back of mine and it's bad enough but OUCH! I hope SAB gives some relief....

Sorry to hear the FES is being so difficult. What a tough situation. I can understand feeling you need to stick it out and then really being torn about possible influences. :( Do you know anyrhing about how he was at home before he came?

We enjoyed the show and it was great to get another "haven't done" crossed off of our list.

It always ends with that happy little party. I think my pal, Eeyore, is especially cute there with his party hat and the smile that says he is having fun in spite of all his efforts to be gloomy. :)

We're always trying to mark things off of our 'haven't done' list, too. Ours more involves restaurants and extras, though, as we have almost covered all the rides and attractions - just 2-3 things left.

At least the ones we can handle. Mission Space is just gonna stay on the 'not done/never will be' list for me for forever, I imagine.

We have not done either mini-golf or waterpark. The guys have gone to the waterparks, but not the girls. There are lots of restaurants we haven't done yet, so we try to add a new one or two each time. We'd also like to do the extra show/meals like the luau, Backyard BBQ, and Hoop-Dee-Do.

What other things are on your 'haven't done' list?

How awful about your foot. Man oh man, I hope I'm not jinxing my DIS friends with foot problems! :scared1:

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Uhmmm, well let's see.......now that you mentioned it!

Anita:

Your injury sounds brutal. Thank goodness for the frozen water bottle. I love your pooh pictures. I did not ride it this trip. DH refused to stand in even the shortest line for any of the fantasyland rides, but we did go on the teacups! And we managed to get right on Snowwhite. :thumbsup2

Yes....I will definately be writing a TR. I actually took pictures of ALL the food this time. A few times DH even reminded me! We had an excellent trip with low crowds and tons of fun. I hope to start posting this weekend, so I will let you know.

I hope SAB was the cure for your injury. I almost got to stay BC for a night this trip, but jinxed myself. You will have to stay tuned for that one.

Oh, Anita! Your poor foot!!!:hug: I don't blame you for not lasting long and heading back to the Beach Club! Can't wait to see the craftiness! :goodvibes

I'm so sorry about your injury, but what a sweet picture that is of Marc holding the frozen water bottle on your foot.:)

Oh man, your poor poor foot!!

At least your man was there to put some ice on it for you. :)

I hope you get to relax and elevate at SAB!

Hmmm... booty shakin huh? Can't wait to see that.
Sorry your foot was hurting so badly. It stinks when you're in pain on a vacation.
OH, and teenagers in the woods? Never a good combination. :rotfl:

Love the pic of Marc with the water bottle on your foot. You may have had trouble walking but your dot dots look fabulous dahling!!!

I'm sure you aren't jinxing anyone, but since you opened the door, we all want to talk about our feet!

Just bought some today for my heals, they ARE wonderful!

Your poor poor foot! My kids step on the back of mine and it's bad enough but OUCH! I hope SAB gives some relief....
SAB was wonderful in many ways!:goodvibes

Sorry to hear the FES is being so difficult. What a tough situation. I can understand feeling you need to stick it out and then really being torn about possible influences. :( Do you know anyrhing about how he was at home before he came?
He has no siblings in the home, so just him and his mother. Half brother living with Dad but no contact with them.
Just seems very immature, almost like having two 10 yr old boys in the house at times then wanting to be a teen too. I'm having trouble figuring him out to be honest.

Your pal does have a very sweet smile on his face! I think his cloud must have lifted for a few minutes!:goodvibes

There are many restaurants we haven't been to and dinner/shows such as the luau and Backyard BBQ that we'd like to try someday. We haven't ridden Kali or Mission Space (orange). I don't imagine you would enjoy that door closing behind you on Mission Space....
I think what I want to do most that we haven't done is the Animation Academy, Baylor will also want to star in his own video game at Innoventions at Epcot. I don't think I've even been in that shooting gallery in Frontierland either...

I'm most anxious to read about your trip!
That frozen water bottle came in very handy! SAB is was so much fun that at times I was able to get my mind off of my sore foot!

Oh, Anita! Your poor foot!!!:hug: I don't blame you for not lasting long and heading back to the Beach Club! Can't wait to see the craftiness! :goodvibes
I just knew you were going to be curious about the doing of crafts!:rotfl:
I'm so sorry about your injury, but what a sweet picture that is of Marc holding the frozen water bottle on your foot.:)
I'm lucky, Marc has many sweet qualities! Oh my gosh was that sickening or what?:rotfl2:
Oh man, your poor poor foot!!

At least your man was there to put some ice on it for you. :)

I hope you get to relax and elevate at SAB!
You will be thrilled to know that I took a picture of my foot while we were at SAB.....:lmao:
Hmmm... booty shakin huh? Can't wait to see that.
I have pictures but no video...
Sorry your foot was hurting so badly. It stinks when you're in pain on a vacation.

There is never a good time to injure your foot but I think while at Disney must be one of the worst times for it to happen
.
OH, and teenagers in the woods? Never a good combination. :rotfl:
Boy, don't I know. What I don't know is what to do about it....

Love the pic of Marc with the water bottle on your foot. You may have had trouble walking but your dot dots look fabulous dahling!!!
He was sure taking care of me wasn't he? I just love my dot, dots, in fact it's time for a new pedi, just as soon as I get rid of the blisters on my heals.....

Yep, you know me -- you say "crafts" and suddenly the Beach Club is looking better and better in my eyes! Oh, how I wish there was another 4/3 deal next summer! :rolleyes1
