Hmmmm big change of heart there Lax.

I will have to say I for one am sorry about the stance on mules. I do not get my mules out much anymore but I do love each and everyone and play them when they fit the bill or occassion. Sorry to see such a hard ball approach to them.

AS long as games are played I don't see the problem. I'm talking about those 1 time use ones that you enter the codes, NPc, and buy things. Those are the ones I'm against

And yes the bother day I did say bring on the mules but like i said, i've learned to appreciate vmk for what it is there for

Thinking about it, people who do use mules are really lazy. I'm not targeting anyone with this I was just thinking. VMK was made not only to promote disney, but to have fun with classic disney attraction games and to just have fun with it. The games are meant to be played and thinking about it I'm just glad this game is around to realese my daily Disney needs. People useing mules are just not having fun with the amazing games Yavn and his team have created for us. Even though the games do not work half the time I still enjoy them. Last sunday I relaxed and just took a walk down main street while I was listening to my main street audio. I believe it was dragon who pointed out the trash cans and those details just give me the chills. In August 2005 I wanted a way to see Disney from home, then I found VMK.

Sorry you feel this way. I have several mules, but I am definately not lazy. My main character plays Fireworks when ever I have a free momment, although lately it has been harder to get credits. The mules are a great way to buy those weekend specials. By doing a credit run each day on each mule, I can buy a few of each of the pins or Tron items that come out and still save for the holidays.

Now, I will agree that making mules just to strip the credits and abandon is a bit much, but each of us has our own way of enjoying VMK. Some enjoy it purely for chat, others like the games, still others like to collect all the items. That's what makes it fun...you can do all of these things and more.

Let me guess... you also advocate storing your money under your mattress because investing it in an interest bearing account or stocks would be lazy. Scholarships and grants for college? No way! That's lazy. Earn your way through college by doing some menial job for less than minimum wage. :rotfl2:

I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that people who use mules just to get fast credits are playing VMK in a smart way. Creating a character and using it just once yields a very high return on that investment. The very smart ones do little things like remember to choose a hat for the character because that means five more credits when you sell the clothes. I believe the saying is, "Work smarter not harder."

That said, I admit to being somewhere in the middle. My goal isn't to be one of the richest characters in VMK but I do want to be part of the upper middle class. I have a lot of characters but I use them to play games and such in order to continue to earn credits. I have never just gotten credits and then abandonned the character. However, I don't have a problem at all with people doing that and I don't think they should be banned. VMK can easily recycle abandonned characters.

I think what we are mostly objecting to about your opinion is the fact that you are suddenly calling people lazy.

You have absolutely your right to your opinion, but, you have no right to pass judgement on everyone or the right to call everyone lazy. I don't care if you suddenly don't like mules. I really don't care if you think I'm lazy or not. But, I do have a big problem with you actually saying it on a public forum. Especially when those words covers quite a few of the people here. People who may have at one time or another given you something or helped you out because of their "laziness".

Hmm - is a "mule" the same to you as "alternate characters"?

I have a boy character. Why? I find it fascinating how different people act towards boys vs. girls in vmk. Sometimes, I will bring him out and see how I am interacted with differently. Purely a social interest purpose. I also wanted a boy so that I could get a blue baseball outfit. Is that a mule? I certainly don't think of him as one. And, no, I have never used the "free credit codes" on him.

I also have a character that I play when I just want to be on vmk and not be found. She has no one on her friends list. I set her anywhere and can enter codes quietly and quickly.

I don't think either of these are "lazy" approaches to vmk, nor do I think they are skirting the idea behind the game. Therefore, I have no qualms about sharing them publicly.

I didn't intend to stab you, I was pointing out what I consider to be a huge hole in the arguement you used to support your opinion by using a couple of glaringly outrageous examples. I then stated my opinion and backed it up with an explanation about why I hold that opinion. That's all I did.

I didn't say you are a bad person. I didn't say you are stupid and I don't believe anyone else has said that. I don't think everyone is against you. You made up that story in your own head. ;) I do think that most of us disagree with your assertion that people who use mules are lazy.

It is fine for you to have this opinion and to stick with it. It is fine for me to have a different opinion and to stick with it. But when you post your opinion in a public forum, you can expect people to discuss it whether or not they agree with you. If people don't agree with your opinion, it doesn't mean they don't like you or they think you are stupid. I means they don't agree with you. In this case, you seem to be in the minority. The majority seems to feel that people who use mules for whatever reason aren't necessarily lazy. You may choose to "pick up your marbles and go home" by having the post closed and ending the discussion. However, I would encourage you continue to discuss your opinion, read what others write and consider the possibility that any of us taking part in this discussion may change our opinion as a result of the discussion.

I know this is off topic but just wanted to say, that I also have a male character and it is amazing how differently he is treated. All I have to do is walk into a room (I don't say a word) and within a few minutes, I have tons of friend requests and other characters asking if I'm taken. All of which I refuse. I just have the boy for the clothes also.

AS you say im packin up my marbles, ive shared my opinion and it shows with people disagreeing, just a test, only a test

Sharing your opinion is great, but you must accept that others will post their opinions too.

I am closing since you have removed the content of your first post. Just be aware that if you post an opinion, others have the right to post theirs, whether they agree or disagree.
