This is somewhat "tongue in cheek" but I'm wondering about how everyone will get along on the Member Cruise. We've seen the "resort wars" pop up on these boards.....Will the OKW-diehards break bread with the BWV-maniacs? Will VWL owners greet BCV newbies? Could this be the group therapy we need? Will HHI and Vero owners be allowed to board or will they have to ride in steerage? Will there be arm wrestling matches to settle differences on room sizes and lengths of walks at home resorts?

Or, will members discover how much we have in common and come away happy to have so many options? ;) ;) ;)

Oh No!! What about those of us who own at two or more resorts?? Will we have to make a choice??? Will families be split apart???

Tune in for the next installment of How the Ship Floats............;)

Maybe this could be Disneys entry into the REALITY TV shows..... camera's everywhere.... no place sacred.... Throw in a mole of two to stir things up......

;)

Pam and others!! Dh and I went on the cruise in April and everyone mingled and got along fine. When DVCers get together, it is a great party!! I discovered that DVCers are some of the friendliest and happiest people on the planet! They had at least two get to-gether receptions and a great ice-breaker where you had to go around and get members signatures For example, we had to get someone whose home resort was OKW, one whose was BW, BCV ( a hard one back in April to get;) ), etc. I think we also had to get 7 cast members signatures and a few others that I forget. Oh yeah....now I remember......it was the photographer at Castaway Cay who took our group picture where we all had on our free DVC shirts they gave us. Anyway, once your cards were filled out then you put them in for drawings for prizes. DVC management really had it organized so that members found it easy to communicate and have fun together. I didn't noticed any resort "clicks" on this trip and I can only expect that it will be another great cruise :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Harriet -

Thank you for confirming for me all the reasons why I want to take the peanut on this cruise as her first cruise! She will have a ball with all the other DVC members and their kids!

I really appreciate the info!

Pam. . .Great thoughts!!!!

Laurabearz: Reality TV??? Well ABC is looking for new shows. If all the DVC'ers watch that would give them 60,000+ viewers, that could be the highest ratings of anything in the line-up. Keep your eyes open for those cameras!!!!!!

Harriett -- I was just kidding about any fighting. ;) I'm sure getting DVC members together is a blast. It's nice to hear that they had "ice breaker" events. That sounds like fun. Some members may even find families that they'll enjoy getting together with regularly if they vacation at the same times.

Pam,

You are so right! I know families now that do that. I think this cruise will primarily attract those members who want to get to know other members. These are the DVC members who enjoy going to DIS meets or the DVC reunions we have had on the AOL boards. This type of vacation won't appeal to everyone, and I understand and respect that.
