A Ten Day Ride on A Magic Camel - Almost Finished Trip Report

The Nashville pics are neat, I like the guitar. Did the Disney Store have any good sales for you? I don't have a Cracker Barrel here, the closest one is about 2 hours away in NY. I did enjoy it when I lived down south. I miss Sonics more. Slush yum! I still love Its a Small World. :rolleyes1 Good pics of Jungle cruise. As a kid I always thought there was real gold in the ruins. :)

After looking at your photos on Disney on Ice, I went off searching to find one in Cincy. I was thinking a show like that would be a great Christmas present for two little boys I know!

I love Small World. I am always torn in there between watching the excitement on my kiddos' faces, taking a million photos of everything around me, or making those excited faces myself. To solve this problem, I convince the kids we should go a few times so I can do all of the above!

It is coming in October... the commericals are out now, we just got tickets last week!

Hey MeMom,

If we do go--you know I will be showing you pics!!! Hey, I forgot to mention, I did update my TR with the souvie pics--just thought you would enjoy them!!! Have a great Wednesday!

I enjoyed the pictures of it's a Small World and the Jungle Cruise. I know they are not thrill rides, but to me they are classic Disney and what makes Disney a family park. Both bring back memories of my first trip to Disney with my parents.

As fake as the Jungle Cruise is, it's one from my childhood that I cherish. I remember my parents laughing at the guides stupid jokes and I also remember talking about it with them. I love it, although cheesy as it is, it's a classic! You took great pictures. Thanks for bringing a little bit of magic into my home this morning.

i've been referred to as spunky a few times before. i just don't see it at all. :rolleyes1

I'm e-mailing you a mirror so you can!

Phew! Glad you made it through the jungle.

It is sometimes a scary trek. It just depends on who your guide is. ;)

that lion on the left is getting dangerously close to eating some zebra butt! :scared:

i did! that was my older cousin's favorite game so we played it ALOT.

wait until you see the only decent picture i got on our nighttime jungle cruise.

I will look forward to seeing your night picture. We've been on it twice at night. It's definitely a different experience.

We played many, many games of Hungry, Hungry Hippo when the kids were little.

What do you mean Disney Fakiness?? Aren't these animals real? I thought this was the water version of the safari.

It is. Didn't you know the safari animals are fake, too?

Great update and pics.

those photos are very nice.

Love the thumbs up pic earlier.

Yeah, we need a little practice on the body parts thing.
Finger, finger, finger, finger, THUMB!
On a side note, that brings to mind what Drew did when he was little. He always called his big toe his thumb toe.

i never really noticed the other zebra watching his beloved get eaten. thanks for pointing it out

I know it is the way of the jungle, but seeing it on something as supposedly light-hearted as the Jungle Cruise just ain't right!
I usually try to look at something else during that part, but for whatever reason, I took a picture of the zebra-feast this time.
I guess just to say how much I don't like it?

I'm weird.

We got a Halloween party box, which was not on sale. I got a Princess plasticware sandwich thing for 99 cents. I can bring my PBJ to school in it every day and it will remind me why I am eating PBJ every day - so I can have more money for our trips!

Jill got Disney dollars and a couple of 99 cent things, too. She's so sweet, because she is fixing up little goodie bags for the kids from the family that is going with them on this trip.

Yes, go if you can! That would be a great family outing, They will love the Cars part but will probably get a little restless at the end with the Tinkerbell stuff. It'll still be a fun time!

I know what you mean about watching the show/ride/attraction or watching your kids. I was the same way, and it was the same when we went to Disney on Ice Saturday. I wanted to see the characters skate out, but then I saw Brooklyn going nuts, and she was more fun to watch!

It is coming in October... the commericals are out now, we just got tickets last week!

Yay! You'll have fun!

I checked them out. Very nice! I was going to post a reply, but I guess it's set not to accept replies now. Thanks for posting those. I always enjoy seeing merchandise pictures.

Me, too. I like the 'old' rides. The Disney experience just wouldn't be the same without the corny jokes on Jungle Cruise or even people making fun of Small World.

Ahhh, IASW, POTC, and Jungle Cruise -- some more of my favorite MK rides! :goodvibes

Oh, yeah, and we can't forget "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me! "

I love the jungle cruise pics! Did you know this past trip was the first time I was ever on that??

We got the best guy we've ever had last summer, but I can't remember his name. I think maybe it was Nathan, for some reason. We went back to try to get him again, but got one that wasn't nearly as good. Since they have a little creativity in what they do, that ride is always a different experience.

I'm glad I could share the magic with you this morning. I start getting my share from others early every morning when I look at the pictures threads.

P.S. declansdad, before you wonder out loud why I am Dising and not working, I have a student teacher, and she's teaching right now.
I'm observing. ;)

Good morning, Nicole! Our Dis schedules are very different these days. You are on when I am not, and I get on when you're working. I don't see your green light very often. Mine stays on all day, I guess, since I usually just minimize instead of cutting it off.

No, I didn't know this was your first Jungle Cruise. It is a classic, and a must-do if you are to be considered an official Disney addict, so I'm glad you checked it off your list.

I loved your AKL video! We need lots more of that!

Its the BACK SIDE OF WATER!!!! :cool1: :lmao:
Great pictures MeMom!! Small world is one of my very favorites!! Thumbs up to Brooklynn!!! :thumbsup2

Great Small World pics! All I have are a bunch of blurry pictures! :rotfl:
I  your narration of the Jungle Cruise!

MeMom what did you mean when you said you don't see Nicole's green light? Is there a way to see if someone is on? I guess its the newbie in me.

Since I see that MeMom isn't on right now I hope you dont mind if I answer for her...:) There is a little dot under your avatar pic to the left of your posts. If you are signed in then it lights up green. If you are off then it is gray. Just a little way for us to "spy" on ya...J/K!:rotfl: Right now, I can see that you are on! HI!!!:wave2:

Just wondering if Brooklyn rode POTC? pirate: My son (5) has been begging me to take him on it but I also have a 2 1/2 year old daughter princess: who I worry would be too scared on it. I've ridden the ride at Disneyland in CA but never in FL which we are tentatively planning a trip there in either March or May 2009.

Also wanted to say that I really love your trip reports and congrats on the new grandbaby to come.

Hi MeMom and family :wave2:

I finally found my way over to your TR and am now caught up. Thanks for all the great pics and fun commentary! I appreciate the pics from Jungle Cruise, I have fond memories of this ride when I was little. I couldn't talk my boys into riding it with me this summer :sad1: , so sad!

They did however LOVE small world. Can I walk down memory lane a bit? I went on small world with my grandpa when I was little. Lots of people had thrown money into the water (my memory was that there was less this year then back then but that could be a fading memory too) Grandpa was always looking for and finding money on the ground when he walked. I clearly remember him telling me that he would clean the ride for free if they would let him keep all the change. I shared this with my family this summer and I am the only one who remembers this comment, very Grandpa-style!

Thanks for sharing all your fun, I'm off to work on your first TR while I wait for the next installment of this one!

I am behind... we had the IKE effect up our way.... in OH no power after horrible horrible hurricane type winds. Luckily my house is standing...but oh the trees. Thanks for bringing some Disney cheer!
